At highway speed the car will not track to center, you must adjust to road. The steering wheel is stiff and you must adjust against the resistance on the wheel at highway speed, which is serious safety problem. It has electric steering. It is listed at various websites as a problem. We fear for our safety. This problem happened last year on the tracking issue and starting in January 2017 the steering wheel is hard to turn, it sticks. This is the term used in other complaints about the problem. 4 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

Can not hold the car in a straight line at highway speeds . Car will drift left and right and needs constant corrections . These result of these corrections have a varying result in the car over correcting or under correcting . Main safety issue is the car wanders on its own with the steering wheel centered and results in drifting into other lanes . The drift seems to be more apparent on flat stretches of freeway as compared to roads with a bigger crown which you can hold the steering wheel into to stay centered . The feeling in the steering wheel is tight and hard while going straight then requires a good solid pull to correct the drift ,the steering will then correct or over correct mostly over correct. I actually feared taking this car on a trip last weekend due to the fact that we were going to be driving in snow ,luckily at 30 mph with chains on the drift was minimal. Thank you for reviewing this letter.

5 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2014

The vehicle stopped responding normally. While traveling at about 65 mph I noticed suddenly that the steering wheel seemed to stick in the center position and require extra pressure to correct lane drift. I have had the car into the dealer 2 times and they say that the steering is electronic and is not the same as hydraulic steering. . . The steering was normal for about the first 1000 miles I drove in my car. It was purchased used with 11000 miles on it. The steering is sticking when I try to correct at all speeds from 35 mph up and is getting worse. The dealer claims nothing is wrong, even though the mechanic could feel the problem while test driving it. The vehicle is dangerous because of the possibility of overcorrecting at highway speed.

6 Steering Is Tight problem

The steering is sticky, especially at highway speeds. This causes unsafe overcorrection, inability to maintain a straight trajectory, and driver fatigue.

7 Steering Is Tight problem

While getting on the on-ramp to the highway, the power steering failed, causing me to almost lose control of the vehicle. Steering was extremely hard to use. The eps light and skid control lights both came on, and later bluelink noted error also.
