1 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2021

I bought my 2017 with 38,000 miles on it and I drove a total of 400 miles a week for work. I had been taking it to the local Hyundai dealer for routine service and not one time did they mention that it was burning oil or even low when they would change it. We decided to start doing it ourselves and when my husband did the next oil change he noticed it was completely empty of oil and there were no leaks visible. 2,400 miles later my engine light comes on and we had to add 5 quarts of oil to the car and the ticking that I though was maybe the ac going or something like that, just suddenly stopped. It ran in my driveway the next morning for 10 to 15 min warming up for me to go to work. I drove 4 miles with no abnormalities in sound or drivability. Then all of a sudden I heard this loud screeching noise and my car died. I got it to start back a second time and was lucky enough that I coasted the 1/2 mile around hills and corners to be able to get pulled into a driveway and out of the road before it completely stopped rolling. It is now sitting at the carmax that I bought it from awaiting a new motor. I was informed that the root cause was apparently a bad ring or gasket in the 3rd cylinder that goes around the piston. My oil light never one time came on to tell me there was ever any issues nor did it give me any indication . I was up to date on my oil changes and it had only been 2,400 miles like I said, since the last one. It has 70,000 miles on it now and needs a brand new motor due to a motor malfunction that was caused by the manufacturing of the motor. Had I not been able to cost out of the road, I could have been seriously injured or killed just trying to get my car and myself to a safe location.

2 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 02/27/2021

I was driving on hey do 70 car made a noise dropped to 65 ppl was honking at me I looked in rear view mirror I see sparks coming from bottom of car. I immediately merged to the right turn car off and it started smoking. I have no warning ⚠️ indicators on in car to say something is wrong.

3 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2020

My Hyundai Tucson has approximately 67000 miles on it. I had it in prior to warranty expiring for engine noise. I was told noise was normal. Ans no service needed. I had the next routine oil change and no issues noted. I checked my oil 2 days ago and I routinely do and it was registering no oil on dipstick. I have no oil leaked on driveway or clients drives where I park daily. I out oil in and immediately take to dealership. They called later to ask. If I had purchased a extended warranty? why ask this? then said they would call once they knew the issue. They called later to let me know I had metal shavings in my engine and it would need replacement. I was very unhappy. They told me they would submit for a "goodwill" repair from Hyundai. They came back they will pay 90% of the short block only. I let them know I was not happy with this and they will try for more coverage since it will need more than the short block. I asked the type of engine in the car and can not get a direct answer. All these issues are once found in the recalled models. I feel I have done everything as a consumer to keep my car in good running order. This engine issues with Hyundai need addressed in full. We all. Need reliable vehicles to work and with the costs of vehicles today they should be safe and reliable. This car has also been having the acceleration problems notes by many others. You press the gas pedal and go nowhere. Then it finally decides to go.
