Something is majorly wrong with how this vehicle shifts gears. When you slow down, or don't come to a complete stop for several seconds, the transmission doesn't down shift properly, causing a transmission slippage and an over revving of the engine, which results in a delay in acceleration. This is an extremely dangerous situation when trying to merge into oncoming traffic. On several occasions, I have tried to turn onto a street or highway and nearly been rear ended or t-boned because of my vehicle stalling for no reason, leaving me floundering in the middle of the street until the vehicle decided to shift properly and resume acceleration. This vehicle needs to be recalled immediately before someone gets killed, for it is only a matter of time before that happens, provided it hasn't already occurred. In fact, I got in a car accident the other day while merging onto a frontage road next to an interstate, and I believe that this stalling transmission slippage is to blame. Please take this issue seriously as it appears that many other people are having this same dangerous problem with their 2017 tuscons as well. This dangerous defect occurs every day I drive this vehicle. Every day.
