1 Ignition problem of the 2012 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/13/2012

This car has an automatic transmission and it pulls out of park very easily with no key in the ignition or foot on the brake. This led to my car rolling down a hill and hitting a tree with no one in the drivers seat. When I went to the dealer they tried this on another car in the lot and it did the same thing. I was told by Hyundai corporate offices that this is a "campaign" item. I can not find this problem listed and I think it should be addressed before it leads to injury or death.

2 Ignition problem of the 2005 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 02/19/2007

I purchased a 2005 Hyundai Tucson on 2/7/07 for which the dealership was not at fault as they were lied to by the previous owner. Within a few weeks after owning the car it would just die anywhere and at anytime. I contacted the dealership numerous times to only get little assistance and a few repair attempts without success. It died 5 separate times on the 14 freeway in the evening after picking up my boys in rosamond and had 5 near fatal accidents which I documented where I was and the time and date. I have a log of all the timed and I am upset that in 7 months the car is still allowed to be on the road. The manufacturer refuses to take it back knowing there is a problem and I am furious. All I wanted was a drivable car and be free from worries.
