38 Suspension problem of the 2005 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/12/2018

I have a Hyundai that has a severe subframe rust. The dealer states it will only replace the part and nothing more. The subframe is so rusted that the part cannot be attached. They need to replace more than the part on recap to fix it. They have had my vehicle for 3. 5 weeks of nothing but the runaround. I need your assistance to get this serious saftey issue fixed. There will be a crash if they don't fix it.

There is a constant shaking and vibration in the front passenger tire I don't know if it's the stability traction or what mostly happens at about 65 miles per hour on the highway and when I went to test drive a second 2007 Hyundai Tucson night version it front end was even more shaky.

43 Suspension problem of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/19/2015

I had to replace the throttle body and rear shock at approximately under 2000 miles. It hesitates badly. It decelerates as I press down on the accelerator. It had low coolant before a long trip so I filled it up as it advised. When the vehicle was hot the coolant was approximately 1/2 inch to 1 inch below the minimum fill line. After my trip I took it to the certified Hyundai dealer service center for tire rotation and oil change and they advised the coolant was low again, but that there are no leaks. I told them I just filled it up and so they are checking again for leaks. It slammed into gear as I was going on an off ramp from an interstate. It jerked and shimmied like it was going to die when I was at a stoplight. It is brand new. It should not be having so many issues and no one will help me with it I just keep hearing "there is nothing wrong with it, it is just the way Hyundai designed the vehicle. " Hyundai needs to work on this. There should be multiple recalls on this vehicle. It has a popping sound every time I reach 20 mph after taking it out of park. It has a rattle in the frame/rear passenger door area. No place can fix these sounds. I just have to deal with it all. It has been nothing but a nightmare since purchased in November 2015. This really needs multiple recalls on it. I just got an email about a hood latch recall too. Not even from Hyundai. . . From car fax. Hyundai did not contact consumers regarding the hood latch recall. They should be required to. The dealer did not contact me about it either. The dealer, bob poynter columbus, in refuses to service my brand new vehicle under warranty and they will not speak with me at all. They will not tell me where they obtained my vehicle from as a dealer trade either.

44 Suspension problem of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/01/2015

Multiple issues. Main issue for now- press the accelerator and the vehicle slows down. Major hesitation. Hesitates from a stop and when already driving. Today it shook and felt like it was going to die for the 2nd time since I've had it. It has been in the shop numerous times for multiple issues and has already had the throttle body and rear suspension replaced. It also had the hood latch replaced due to a recall and it was losing coolant apparently through the cap.

45 Suspension problem of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/01/2015

I have 4000 miles on this car and already have had it in the shop 5 times! transmission- is very jerky, doesn't have pick up most the time, doesn't shit right away it takes a moment to kick in while rpm's are jumping. Hesitation from a dead stop, once at a dead stop and you slowly take foot off break the rpm's drop and the car shutters and feels like its going to die! dealer said its normal for a dual clutch because its like a manual and that I need to drive 2 footed or deal with it. I also had it to dealer say prior to this time, it's because the dual transmission is staying in second gear and that's normal and that's why it feels like its going to die. Transmission never shifts the same. . When in eco it worse and when in sport mode it very jerky and the shifting is awful and never smooth. Bottom line is this. . Feels like the transmission has no idea when to shift and or how to shift. The rpm's go up but the car doesn't seem to pick up speed like it should as far where the rpm's are at, always revs up before it will even more. Also when at highway speeds it takes a lot to kick it down to pick up speed which is very dangerous. The vibration at higher speeds is horrible . Had tires rotated and balanced 2 times already and it till has not fixed the problem. Dealership doesn't seem to find t to be that big of a deal. Hwy speeds the cabin sound like you have one window open and you get that sound of being in a tunnel. Since day 1 when putting car in reverse and then to drive, there is a clunking popping sound from the back of car after it hits about 20 mph. Had that looked at 3 times and they can't figure it out. It is much louder and more often now with more miles deal says all my problems are normal and nothing they can do but to deal with it. Worst car I have ever owned!!!!! had in shop 6 times already in 9 months and Hyundai will do nothing to help .

46 Suspension problem of the 2005 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 08/31/2015

The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. When the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for routine maintenance, it was diagnosed that the vehicle's cross member was severely corroded. Two years prior, the contact stated that the vehicle was previously inspected for corrosion. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 129,036.

47 Suspension problem of the 2005 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/20/2015

2005 Hyundai tuscon, rear sub-frame completely rotted out. The garage was shocked to see where the 4 bolts are to hold the crossbar completed broke off! while driving on the highway at 65mph, and changing lanes the vehicle seemed to have a delayed reaction or like it was "fish-taling". The incident didn't happen on the highway, however when turning a corner on my street, suddenly a loud rubbing sound and grinding sound happened and the vehicle waved side to side while trying to drive it up the street. The steering was extremely loose and it felt like it was going to crash into the side of the road on the curb. There was rubber from the tire on the inside wheel well on the piece that covered the shocks. Hyundai replacement parts is almost $1000!!!.

48 Suspension problem of the 2010 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/10/2014

I purchase this vehicle on October 3,2014, two weeks later the check engine light came on. Took it to the Hyundai dealer three times within that month for the same problem in which each time they were able to solve this issue (so we thought). On December 11,2014 a lil over two months later, the check engine light is now on again? taking the vehicle back to dealer today for check engine light and also to check front suspension, the drive on this vehicle has always felt very unstable and unsafe to me and with it being the winter months my safety as well as others is a must! very unsatisfied owner of the 2010 Hyundai Tucson, have not as of yet gotten a secure or comfortable drive out of this vehicle since purchase, far more the worst vehicle I have ever owned.

50 Suspension problem of the 2014 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

I purchased the vehicle in January 2014. Within 500 mile I noticed a strong vibration in the front suspension. More accurately it was a bouncing (up and down) of the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the dealer multiple times and the dealer service department verified that the condition existed. They rotated and balance the tires several times. This did not solve the problem. They changed a drive shaft. This did not solve the problem. They replaced my wheels and tires with a set from another 2014 Tucson. Again, no change. The vehicle continued to exhibit a very pronounced bounce in the front suspension. I filed a complaint with Hyundai and received a case number. I returned to my dealer and requested to take another 2014 Hyundai Tucson for a test drive. This vehicle had the same bounce in the front suspension. I contacted Hyundai and informed them that multiple Tucsons had the same problem. Hyundai's answer was that it must be a characteristic of the vehicle. That closed the case as far as Hyundai was concerned. I believe this is an unsafe "characteristic" and do not believe that Hyundai or any other manufacturer would design a vehicle with a bounce in the front suspension. This is a safety issue that should be investigated and corrected before some sort of accident takes place. This front suspension bounce makes the vehicle feel very unsafe in inclement weather such as rain, snow and icy road conditions. Hyundai has closed the case and refuses to re-open it or perform any further investigation. Their determination that this is a vehicle "characteristic" is based on the driving of 2 vehicles. I believe an unsafe condition like this should be investigated. Hyundai is doing absolutely nothing to solve this problem.

51 Suspension problem of the 2013 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/26/2013

I noticed my tires had been extremely worn, virtually no tread left for only having the car for 6 months. I began noticing that driving was much more difficult than expected in rain and snow, until I realized my tires weren't in line like they were supposed to. Once I brought it to the dealership they had realized that my camber bolts weren't properly tighten which caused my tires to become out of line and begin to tilt causing the insides to become very worn down. I want to bring this to someones attention in hopes they can figure out what manufacturer my vehicle came from to help prevent the same issues for other vehicle owners.

53 Suspension problem of the 2006 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 01/19/2009

2006 Tucson Hyundai-11,000 mi and had to replace rear tires due to tire wear. Completely bald. Cost-$300. 00. Dealer states it may be due to needing alignment or defect in frame. Will not honor bumper to bumper 5 year 60,000 mi warranty. Refuses to pay for alignment or to see if it is a frame problem. Will not reimburse for tires, even though the tire dealer stated the measurements and how it was not right to have them that bald. Buying the car brand new-I now am afraid to drive it. It was bought June 2006, I have babied it and drove only for special occasions and vacations. Yet now I feel it is dangerous to drive. Especially when it could be a frame problem, and they are refusing to investigate. I am having to take it to a alignment shop myself to have it checked. Your site only gives me the option of one tire report. But both tires were bald! thank you.
