New 2023 Hyundai Tucson purchased 9/9/2023 from curry Hyundai in cortland NY. On several instances of highway driving during the first 1,000 miles, on highways and at highway speeds, the forward collision avoidance system activated without any reason and applied the brakes at highway speed. This happened 6 or more times in only 6 or 7 highway trips during the 1,000 break-in period, and happened after the first visit to service for this problem, during which the dealer reset the system and sent me on my way, only to leave me driving a vehicle with the same, continuing defect. After the third service attempt, dealer and Hyundai have been unable to repair the vehicle (now with the dealer for over a week). Hyundai fails to even acknowledge its warranty or any other obligations to me, and all its communications show that it doesn't take these problems seriously, it has no standard process for dealing with them, and it offers basically nothing to the frustrated car owner. All its "customer care" department has done is check with the dealer, only to leave the problem with me for an unlimited timeframe.

I was driving on the highway at 60/70 mph and there was nothing in front of my car. The brakes went on for a second stopping the car abruptly and I swerved. This happened once more. It then happened another time on a turn as I tried to regain control of the car it swerved from side to side and almost got into an accident or spun out.
Spring and summer 2023: multiple safety sensor malfunctions during highway rides pose a risk. The official dealership reset the system, but issues have persisted over the last few months. Constantly having warning lights on, car jerking into other lanes, emergency braking randomly, brakes went to the floor and car propelled through an intersection.
Warning lights for lane keeping, blind spot, abs, autohold, foward collision systems came on and will not reset. Reports of this all over Hyundai forums and owner fan pages (facebook, etc). It can fool the driver into believing the car is about to be in an accident prompting panic response in drivers.

This is the 2-3 time that the sound of my radio and safety features does not work. There is no sound at all! if the sounds of the safety features are not working, I feel extremely unsafe driving this car!!!!.
Vehicle engine light has been on for months, it would come and go. I’ve taken it to Hyundai but they kept saying nothing comes up and maybe it was the gas cap needing to be changed. My car also burns oil too fast and the dealership has expressed concern. I’ve also been getting a front collision camera disabled message on the dashboard for the last two days. On 3/23/23, my Tucson not only start making a loud noise but the engine light is blinking and barely drives. I almost didn’t make it home safely or at all.

My vehicle takes over my breaks and completely takes control of my vehicle away from me (the driver). It does this randomly. I had a hit and run in a parking lot due to this issue. I am greatly concerned for my safety.
I have a lot of questions. I bought the best trim car for safety, but as a result, nothing worked. The damage to my family caused by this was a lot of damage mentally and physically, and it took a lot of time for these results to come out. That ended my view of Hyundai/kia as a korean american living in the u. S. I will never repurchase a korean car. I suspect a sudden acceleration. I decided to report to NHTSA/bbb/Hyundai motor America/ftc.
Both waning lights came on for lane assist and forward collision warning. I took the vehicle to the dealership. They said the camera was not working and I would have to pay $1700. 00 to install a new one. It appears there are 2 separate cameras involved. I was asked if I struck anything. I did not and the camera in the grill is I damaged as is the forward collision camera in the rear view mirror. The paperwork I received from the dealer says “software error” I have not had the work done due to the cost. I was also told by the dealer that they are aware of other customers with the same problem.
Purchased this vehicle 12/2021 it hesitated on pick up but drove good after that nice look but the headlights are bad at night. First month I had a bad scare as when attempting to stop the brakes gave out, I had to pump multiple times to get the car to stop, this happened again about 1 month ago. On 10/10/22 while attempting to park in my driveway which is on a hill the car did not want to accelerate when pressing the gas and many lights turned on the dashboard. Warning, check engine, brake, front collision, etc. I have not had any accidents for the collision light to be on anyways. I turned the car off and restarted it I even disconnected the battery but still nothing the car has power because it does turn on and the lights, radio work but it just would not accelerate. I'm on a very dangerous hill lucky this happened late night when not much vehicle traffic. The next morning 10/11/22 around 10 am Hyundai came to pick up the vehicle. I passed by that day around 4 pm to see what was going on. They had not checked it yet which is understandable we ask the guy when he thought it would be checked out and he responded that towed vehicles take longer to be checked, we asked for a loner and they said they did not have. Saturday 10/15/22 went again, the car was still in the same spot not looked at yet, today 10/19/22- 1 week and 1 day they have not checked the car and we were told they had a lot of cars to work on and we were far down on that list. So basically they will probably take 2-3 weeks to even look at it and if any parts are needed it would probably take another month and without a loner. So we the paying clients have to figure it out. This is very unacceptable not to mention how scary it was for the car to completely give out on a hill thank god no one was driving or walking behind me. I have been driving for 29 yrs and have never experienced something like this. This car can potentially be deadly specially to a new driver.
While on the road, the 2019 Hyundai Tucson value dashboard warning lights lit up and stated to check the lane keeping assist and the forward collision assist. The engine light, anti-skid light and power steering light came on as well as the car began to decelerate while in the middle of traffic. I pulled over and turned the car off. When trying to turn back on, the car would not start again until I began pumping the gas with my foot for a few seconds then it started; however, now the engine light was on although it drove normally after that. This has happened to me a few times now, but is very scary because it gives no warning and when I take it to the dealership they can never find anything wrong with it.
I bough my new SUV around 4 to 5 months ago. Since I bought it and this only happened about 3 times. I was on highway and with no cars on the highway and myself going 70 the collision in the front came on and emergency breaking saying im about to hit something. But nothing was there. This also happened when I reversed too. The brakes would slam on saying collision. Also when im driving in a straight line the lane detection moves me in the middle of the road to the white lines are under my car and I am driving on 2 lanes. It keeps trying to move me over to other lane even though im in the correct lane. I have almost got into like 7 accidents. I already brought my car to the dealer and they told me there is no fix for that. I am not the first to come in saying the same thing.
Hyundai Tucson sport 2020, this happens always, while driving in the highway, long distance the forward collision warning activates (no cars in front of me or any objects) and the SUV make a sudden stop and it sound a loud scary noise, then I have to park, turn it off and then start the SUV again because the rpm starts going up. This is a safety hazard, luckily no one was behind me or I could get hit in the middle of the highway. I took the SUV to the Hyundai dealership where I bought it in san juan, kennedy, but they said they didn’t find anything. I took it then to the Hyundai dealership in caguas, p. R. To have it check and still waiting on a response. It’s been a year and still no one finds what’s the problem. I feel my life is at risk when driving in the highway.
Forward collision warning is set at "early", but I only get 1 out of dozen incidents where I feel the warning should be triggered. Often I had to hit the brake hard enough to cause chest pains for me & my passenger. So, the injury below is a minor one for now, but may easily become quite extensive.

I believe that this car is a lemon. Ever since we bought it we have problems with the engine not performing right. I have got the engine system cleaned multiple times one at the dealership and one at valvoline oil change facility. The engine still didn't run smooth. I would always get the oil changed on time and the vehicle has never been in a accident. Now just yesterday the vehicle while driving on the highway just stalled and wouldn't accelerate past 60mph. Now the check engine light is blinking and all of the lights on the dash are on. Also lately sometimes the forward collision lights will come on and other warning lights and sometimes they wont. Another light that intermittently comes on are the auto hold and epb light and this has been happening since we bought the vehicle. I have taken into Hyundai and they basically were like yea sometimes that happens. I have not gotten the new check engine light checked but I am sure that it is something serious because the car won't accelerate past 60mph. I have read on other discussions that there are many problems with Hyundai engines and believe that I am victim to very poor quality manufacturing in this engine. I also have a 2013 Toyota camry with 180,000 miles and haven't had one problem with it. This car is a lemon and would like to have some help with this please. I have also made a complaint with Hyundai under their drive train warranty.
This is my third report for this car, same issue keeps recurring. The fca locked up the brakes for no valid reason, again. I was driving uphile in a parking garage, there were cars parked on both sides of my driving lane. I entered a left turn while going up the garage. There were cars parked on the right side of the turn lane. As I got into the left turn, my car slammed on the brakes and I came to a complete stop. There were no moving cars or people in front of me. Only parked cars.
