36 Warnings problem of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/25/2025

While operating the vehicle, an intermittent audible warning sound occurs without any corresponding alert, message, or notification displayed on the dashboard or infotainment screen. The specific component or system causing the warning is unknown. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition puts my safety at risk because the unexplained warning sound occurs while driving and causes me to divert my attention from the road in an attempt to identify the source or meaning of the alert, creating a driver distraction. The issue has been reproduced multiple times under normal driving conditions. I demonstrated the condition to the dealership and provided video evidence; however, the issue has not been diagnosed or confirmed, and no root cause has been identified. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership, but no explanation or resolution has been provided. The manufacturer is aware of the issue through an open case. There were no warning lamps, messages, or prior indicators associated with this condition. The audible warning occurs without any visible alert or explanation. The condition began shortly after purchase in November 2025 and was later documented and demonstrated to the dealership in January 2026.

Major problems with this cars electrical and computer systems. Six warning lights would begin to flash in succession. Eventually car would be inoperative leaving us stranded in July 2025 in cumberland MD then after supposed repair we were again stranded in providence ri on Nov 20, 2025 and car has been there for repair ever since. No completion date has yet been given. I strongly believe there are major safety problems with this car.

38 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/18/2025

I was exiting a freeway a unusually slow speed as it was very congested, making a right hand exit. While I was in the curve of the exit ramp, the car suddently applied the brakes to a full stop. There was a car in front of me but we were going the same speed. Fortunately, the car behind me was able to stop in time and not hit me. There was no risk of me hitting the car in front of me.

39 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/13/2025

The front end collision avoidance “feature” slammed on my brakes so hard today, for zero reason. I was already braking, going less than 20mph and had plenty of room. This is not the first time, closer to double digits since I purchase in April. This time the car behind me narrowly avoided hitting me which was made worse as my vehicle takes too long to unlock and allow me to begin driving again. This is going to cause an accident and ruin my tires/brakes costing me money.

40 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/07/2025

The forward collision-avoidance assist (fca) is braking aggressively without a valid hazard, creating a serious rear-end collision risk. Incident 1 (405 freeway, approx. 60 mph) : a vehicle legally changed into my lane with safe separation. The fca system detected this as a collision risk and applied hard braking on the freeway. Following traffic had to brake abruptly and I narrowly avoided being rear-ended. Incident 2 (intersection u-turn, 15 mph): while completing a permitted u-turn on a green light, the fca detected a distant cross-traffic vehicle and suddenly braked in the intersection, leaving me stopped in an unsafe position. I set fca sensitivity to the minimum/“late” setting after the first event. The false hard-braking continues. Hyundai dealership [anaheim Hyundai] states “no issue found. ” this behavior is repeatable and unsafe. I request investigation into false positives and unintended hard braking, a software remedy, and guidance to disable automatic braking until fixed (warning-only) if permitted by Hyundai. Currently even if it is disabled it resets after the SUV is turned off. I realized there are multiple threads on reddit on the same issue for tuscon 2025 models with some of them resulting in accidents. . Read more...

41 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/06/2025

Fca system slammed brakes all the way to a complete stop in middle of traffic for no reason. Car in front was slowing down, and I was already braking at more than a safe distance. This is completely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. There needs to be a way to permanently disable this overkill feature that creates way worse problems than it is supposed to solve. There are numerous complaints about this issue from other owners of this model, please help!.

42 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/03/2025

Blindspot detection did not pick up car on my right side two times. Front collision warning is effected by the angle of the sun at certain times of the day. Dashboard dims randomly. Could be for a minute or much longer. Could dim on and off, or stay dimmed for over twenty minutes. Brought the car in twice for this problem. Claimed nothing found and tech reset the codes. Bought it in two weeks later, stating problem not fixed. Told them to check connection, suggested they might want to replace the cables, and its a known problem. Again, reset the codes. Only this time they fiddled with the dimmer control on the console and I can no longer adjust the setting.

43 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 11/02/2025

11/2/2025- the forward collision warning and the automatic emergency braking system engaged and brought my vehicle to a complete stop in the middle of the road when there was no imminent danger of a forward collision occurring. My vehicle was rear ended by the vehicle behind me as a result of the sudden and complete braking of my vehicle. This same incident happened a few days before this collision, but there was no vehicle behind my vehicle, so no rear end accident happened at that time. 12/1/2026- vehicle inspected at jim click Hyundai regarding the sudden stopping of the vehicle. Jim click determined a fault code front camera blockage. Dealer said they cleared the code and the problem should not return. On or around 12/8/2025 the 2025 Hyundai again had the front collision avoidance system randomly setting off alarms when the vehicle was driving on the freeway and other vehicles were traveling alongside the 2025 Hyundai. There was no emergency braking occurring at this time. 12/9/2025- the 2025 Hyundai returned to jim click Hyundai and at that time the dealer determined the front camera was showing an obstruction when none was there. They replaced the front camera with a new camera. 12/28/2025- the same problem of the front collision avoidance system and the automatic emergency braking engaged again, even though there was a new front camera installed on the vehicle. The 2025 Hyundai vehicle came to a complete stop in traffic. The vehicle ahead 2+ car lengths ahead swerved from the left lane to the right lane to avoid a box in the road. Driver of the 2025 Hyundai was applying the brakes when the 2025 Hyundai emergency braking system took over and the 2025 Hyundai came to a complete stop in traffic when there was no need for this. 1/2/26- 2025 Hyundai returned to jim click Hyundai and remains there while the service dep't is driving the vehicle trying to diagnose the cause of the continued emergency braking problem.

44 Warnings problem of the 2019 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/22/2025

My 2019 Hyundai tuscan has been burning oil and the oil has to be topped off every 1,000 miles or so. There are multiple check engine lights illuminated: abs, front collision, traction. These lights have flashed off and on for 3 years but are not light up solid. This sounds like an issue.

45 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/21/2025

While driving a 2025 Hyundai Tucson rental vehicle (VIN: [xxx] ), I experienced a sudden and unintended acceleration, and the steering appeared to turn without input. The vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree on a local street two blocks from my residence. The result was the wheel was popped off of it's axel and deflated immediately. Two days prior, I experienced a similar event in the same vehicle — sudden acceleration and braking hard making a loud braking noise. I suspect a mechanical or electronic malfunction. No warning or sensors were alerting me that this would happen. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

46 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/19/2025

In October 2025, the center display screen in my 2025 Hyundai Tucson hybrid began shutting off repeatedly while the vehicle was in motion. The screen controls essential functions including speed information, navigation, backup camera, safety alerts, and hybrid system data. When it shuts off, all of these features become unavailable without warning. The failure is intermittent and continues to reoccur. The component involved is the center display/infotainment system and may affect related radar and safety-system warnings. The dealer stated they duplicated the issue and reported that it was repaired, but the same display failure occurred again afterward while I was driving. The vehicle is currently with the dealer and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because when the screen shuts off, I lose access to critical vehicle information. This has happened at highway speeds, including one instance where the display shut off approximately eight times within 20 minutes. In addition, the radar warning system has activated when no nearby vehicles were present, creating distraction and uncertainty. The problem has been reproduced by the dealership, documented by me on video, and reported to the manufacturer. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by an authorized Hyundai service center and reviewed by the manufacturer’s customer service department. There have been no police or insurance inspections because the defect has not resulted in a crash, though the safety risk is significant. Warning symptoms include intermittent radar system alerts appearing without surrounding traffic. These symptoms began in October 2025 and have continued even after dealer repairs. The display failure persists and the vehicle remains unsafe to operate. P. S. I cannot upload video evidence as the website would not allow me and I have to start over.

47 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/18/2025

The car breaks itself so abruptly when there is no real danger. This has almost caused for me to be rear ended on multiple occasions. Especially scary on the freeway. The forward collision warning is set to "late," and it still causes a huge jolt.

48 Warnings problem of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/14/2025

I am writing regarding a serious vehicle safety issue involving my 2023 Hyundai Tucson limited purchased from on [xxx] with approximately 61,000 miles. About one month after purchase, during a drive from pennsylvania to florida in October 2025, the vehicle experienced multiple dangerous steering and collision-assist malfunctions in clear highway conditions. The first incident occurred in virginia while adaptive cruise control and steering assist were active at approximately 70 mph. Within seconds, the steering wheel aggressively turned left and right, causing the vehicle to tip and nearly roll until the driver manually regained control. Later during the same trip, while making a normal lane change with the right turn signal activated, the vehicle falsely detected a collision despite no vehicle being present. The vehicle then veered left toward traffic and unexpectedly slammed on the brakes. Following these incidents, all assist sensors and automated driving features were manually disabled for safety reasons. However, the vehicle has continued intermittently triggering false collision warnings and emergency braking events with no vehicles present, creating additional near-accident situations involving surrounding traffic. I recently had the vehicle inspected by Hyundai after initially believing this may only be a calibration issue. Due to financial and scheduling limitations, I delayed service until this month, but I now understand this issue is far more serious and systemic. Two separate mechanics have advised me the vehicle has major safety-system malfunctions making it unsafe to drive. There are no reported accidents or braking issues on carfax. I am also concerned this appears to be a widespread issue affecting this vehicle model, yet I received no notification regarding related safety concerns or recalls until conducting my own research. One mechanic stated“I’m surprised this car hasn’t killed you yet. I wouldn’t put my own kids in this vehicle. " information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information.

49 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/02/2025

My 2025 Tucson hybrid violently stopped in mid traffic while leaving the intersection once the signal turned green to proceed. I accelerated getting to speed limit then it abruptly stopped, violently throwing contents from back seat to the forward cabin. Both, myself the driver and my passenger were jolted violently. The school bus behind me had to stop quickly as we were just getting up to speed from a stop light. The vehicle is brand new, 2024 miles on it. Tucson nline hybrid with all the safety features turned on. I called the dealer and service rep which both instructed to turn off the fcs forward collision system setting. I did but this shouldn't be happening and will cause bodily harm/damage, and possible death is a specific situation. This abrupt stop was jarring to both people in the car.

50 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 10/02/2025

The forward collision system suddenly slammed the brakes hard to a full stop. This has happened multiple times in situations where there was no real danger(still safe distance with the car in front). I was fully in control, and there were no obstacles or sudden movements from other vehicles. Both times there was a car right behind me, and I was just lucky they didn’t hit me because they swerved into the shoulder. After the first 2 times, I mentioned it to the dealership and asked if there was any way to turn down the sensitivity so it didn't cause an accident and he said it's either all or nothing (which also isn't safe in case of real emergency). He recommended I file a complaint. I should also mention that I owned the 2022 Hyundai Tucson prior to this car for 4 years and never once had this occur. I did have it activate the front collision warning, but it never came to a full stop and allowed the driver to make the correct decision for the situation.

51 Warnings problem of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/30/2025

I have experienced 4 repeated issues within 4 months with my vehicle. Starting in September 2025 and the 4th and current issue today 1/12/26. Driving when all of a sudden all of my brake components lamps come on dash oard, forward collision alert, and check engine, my vehicle struggles to accelerate accurately. Blue link diagnostic throws various codes such as ecm, transmission control system, even "multiple possible issues". Each time my vehicle has been at Hyundai dealership for repair. Each time they repair something different 1st- replace abs module and hydraulic brake, 2nd - happened out of state at my mother funeral and replaced my ecm, 3rd couldn't figure it out and guessed it was my forward collision camera and replaced it, 4th - is today and awaiting dealership diagnosis. This issue has left me stranded several times local and long distance, occured in middle of driving including on highway, and overall uncertain of the safety and reliability of the vehicle as each time it has been the same type of issue. I have been in communication with Hyundai corporate since October and they stated that even tho I only have 24k miles on the vehicle that it is outside the state of in lemon laws for a buyback. If I hadn't purchased an extended warranty I would be in even more debt or unable to put it in the shop even tho I don't feel like this should be my burden when I have kept this vehicle in great shape, low mileage, frequent oil changes, etc . However the safety of my vehicles goes unresolved. At this point I am uncertain that Hyundai is properly diagnosing my vehicle and not certain how these issues are impacting other components of my vehicle such as brakes, transmission, engine, sensors. I am the only owner of this vehicle bought brand new. I have checked repeatedly for any recalls that I have not addressed and at this time none are pending. I fear that this vehicle will continue to have more safety issues.

52 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/19/2025

Forward collision warning automatic braking caused car behind me to rear-end me. This is the first accident but third time the automatic braking unnecessarily caused an issue. The car in front of me was far enough away that it did not require an auto-brake.

53 Warnings problem of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/12/2025

Was told by dealership that forward camera assist is not functioning, but could not tell me why it failed all of a sudden. No accidents. $1586 to repair because no longer under warranty. Vehicle is only 5 years old.

54 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/06/2025

I have had two incidents with this vehicle (that I have owned for less than 90 days) that have raised safety concerns. Both involved the loss of all information on the "instrument panel" aka dashboard. In the first (August 18, 2025), all of the warning lights came on, then the screen went dark - there was no information on the two screens and no head's up display. This happened while I was on the highway doing about 65 mph. After I was able to pull over safely, it took several attempts to get the vehicle started again and in gear. I took it to the dealer the next day and they were unable to replicate the issue and saw no codes. The second episode occurred yesterday (9/6/25). This time the screen went dark except for a large red warning "no signal". The screen came back after a few moments; I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Both of these involved losing all information as to the speed of the vehicle - which I believe is a safety issue. Both of these issues have also been reported by others on facebook ("Hyundai owners") since late last year and it appears to be some sort of electrical issue but there has been no TSB or recall by Hyundai yet.

55 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 09/02/2025

Many 2025 Hyundai Tucson owners have reported significant issues with the driver attention warning feature, particularly when using cruise control and wearing sunglasses, leading to safety concerns and frustration. Common complaints constant alerts: many drivers have experienced the driver attention warning activating unnecessarily, especially while using cruise control. Users report that the system beeps and prompts them to keep their eyes on the road, even when they are attentive and looking straight ahead. This has led to frustration, with some considering disabling the feature entirely. 2 sunglasses interference: a recurring issue is that the driver attention warning system struggles to detect the driver's eyes when sunglasses are worn. This has caused the system to issue warnings and disable cruise control, which can be particularly dangerous in heavy traffic situations. Drivers have noted that even moderately tinted sunglasses can trigger these alerts, making it difficult to use the vehicle comfortably. 2 safety concerns: some users have reported alarming incidents where the driver attention warning system caused abrupt braking, leading to near-collisions. For instance, one driver described a situation where the system suddenly applied the brakes while driving between vehicles, creating a hazardous situation. This has raised serious safety concerns among owners, particularly regarding the system's reliability and responsiveness. 1 lack of support from Hyundai: many drivers have expressed dissatisfaction with Hyundai's response to these issues. Complaints about the driver attention warning feature have been met with minimal support, and some users feel that their concerns are not being adequately addressed by the manufacturer. 2 3 sources summary of issues overall, the driver attention warning feature in the 2025 Hyundai Tucson has been a source of frustration and concern for many owners. The combination of false alerts, interference from sunglasses.

56 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 08/29/2025

4th occurrence of the forward assistance warning system activating when we were at a slow speed with plenty of room to stop and the brakes engaged suddenly to stop the car and today someone slammed into the rear of our car. This is extremely frightening and should never happen at slow speeds when there is ample time to stop. My husband doesn't even want to drive this car again as he's afraid we may be killed. I see on the reddit site that this is happening to others too. Hyundai must fix this issue ASAP. You can temporarily stop this from working but everytime you stop & turn off car you must do it again. Police were called & report filed. We have to get our car fixed now.

57 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 08/28/2025

Sometimes in heavy rain, using the washer fluid or bright sunlight I get an alert that the foward collision avoidance sensor disabled. Usually doesn’t last long unless there is heavy rain. This system shouldn’t be triggered by things that happen frequently. This isn’t an issue in my santa fe. The only time that sensor is inoperable is in very heavy snow that has covered the front of the vehicle.

58 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 08/19/2025

My 2025 Hyundai Tucson had approximately 150 miles when the forward collision warning system has started to provide false warnings. The first event happened as I was pulling out of a parking lot where there was a dip in pavement between the lot and road. The dip in the pavement was interpreted as an object about to cause impact so my car automatically applied full braking. I almost got hit from the car behind me who was not expecting me to stop. Now my car has 406 miles on it and I routinely receive warnings about collisions due to nearby cars doing u-turns or cars which I will definitely not hit. A few times it has applied braking which has almost caused several accidents from cars behind me not expecting me to stop.

59 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 08/06/2025

I was driving with my forward collision assistance (fca) disabled via the cars setup menu. The dashboard had an indicator light on confirming the fca was off. I was making a turn within a strip center parking lot and the car applied the brakes and the dashboard showed the “emergency braking” warning. As I was turning left into a lane with parked cars, a person was walking behind their car at least 1-2 car lengths in front of me on my right side. I’m sure this triggered the warning. 1) the situation did not call for applying the brakes. 2) the fca was off! I have been disabling the fca off each time I get in the car because of three other instances of unexpected and unnecessary full stop braking. See my previous report to NHTSA, same car.

60 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/25/2025

When driving slowly on the highway and changing lanes the car sensed that we were too close to the car in front of us and completely stopped the vehicle. We were not all that close to the car in front of us and we were nearly hit by the car behind us as we stopped. We are concerned that this could happen any time. The car should never stop on its own.

61 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/12/2025

Forward lane collision warning is dangerous. It fully stopped on the freeway during traffic and other times because it thinks im going to hit another car when I was rolling no foot on pedal. . There is no permanent way to turn it off. Has to be drone each drive. Dangerous and almost caused me to get into accidents.

62 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/10/2025

Several times now the forward collision safety has activated and the car came to an abrupt stop. The car in front of me was braking and I was lightly tapping the brake pedal when out of nowhere the car started shuttering and came to a complete stop. This definitely scared me and I was relieved that the car behind me did not rear end me. I was not going fast by any means and I did not slam on the brakes as there was no need to. The forward collision is not a safety feature. This is a real problem and now I am scared of this braking design. I now deactivate this feature every time I turn the car on because there is no way to permanently dismantle this. Hyundai needs a recall to correct this.

63 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 07/03/2025

Please see case 11675610 I have been told that this is for the same concerns I have my car is currently at the dealer for the third time to try and resolve this same issue dash will flash and go black for several seconds, when and if it comes back it will have all emergency lights on or flash no signal heads up display will also flash going blank this will be out for a longer period of time and is not always at the same time as the dash going out. When car is turned off after driving it will occasionally still show emergency lights on dash. Even after closing and reopening door, turning car back on and off safety concerns include but not limited to not seeing speedometer, safety lights and warnings.

64 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 06/25/2025

The automatic emergency braking system went off when there was no reason for it to. It seems to think I am closer to vehicles than I actually am. It frequently warns that I need to brake when I don't need to, either because I am already stopped or because the vehicle that had previously been in front of me changed lanes. Today the vehicle braked so hard that I thought I had been in an accident for a minute. There was appropriate clearance between my car and the car in front of me and no reason to auto brake. I now have wipe lash. Hopefully they recall and fix this issue ASAP.

65 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 06/22/2025

Phantom braking due to forward collision detection has caused one front end collision in snow and one rear end collision in a construction zone while I was slowing down. In one instance it was snowing and in one instance it was in a dusty construction zone slowing for steel plates.

66 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 06/21/2025

1 forward collision unexpectedly slammed on the brakes when I was trying to go forward to make a left turn. There was no one in front of me nor each side of me. I had 2x4’s in my car that were thrusted forward damaging my dashboard and display. I was told to take it to the dealership on Monday 2 I was fine just hooked up, but the driver was pissed off at me thinking I was stopping short on him 3 randomly the rear sensor would go off telling me they are too close when I’m at a complete stop. It has randomly stopped short on me but I thought it might have just been an over sensitive sensor. I have previously owned an ioniq 5 and the sensor would never stop going off even if I was 2 car lengths away. 4 the car is going back to the dealership on Monday so it has not been expected yet 5 exactly 6 days after purchasing the car the airbag indicator showed up on my dashboard while I was driving. I was used to the ioniq 5 sensors always going on when I was stopped waiting for a green light that I just thought it was the same way. It had abruptly stopped on me three other times between the 6th and today the 21st. I have only had it for 3 weeks. I have never gotten any warnings before the car just slams the breaks on. After looking online about this issue I decided to make a report before I take it to the dealership so you have it on file. I am very disappointed with this vehicle and was so excited when I bought it. I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai since 2017 when I bought my first ioniq and I have purchased 6 other cars for my family members since then. I still purchased the Tucson after having to take a 15,000 loss because the ioniq 5 never held its value. Now I’m wondering if I should switch manufacturers.

Car slams on the brakes while under controlled stopping. This has happened on a few occasions. Reported it to the dealer service department and was told it has happened to them and suggested that I turn off that option.

68 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 06/03/2025

Not sure what failed. At around 8:30 am on a sunny clear day the driver was maneuvering slowly up a ramp between first and second floors of a parking garage at the college campus where the driver works. Driver paused the vehicle and slowly turned to the right to park in an open spot about halfway up the ramp. There was a large concrete pillar to the right of the parking spot and a low steel cable wall at the end of the parking space along the inner structure of the garage. While turning into the space, the driver described suddenly feeling "a loss of control of the vehicle" wherein it "felt like it was in neutral and wouldn't stop". The car hit the wall with extreme force, enough for resulting in minor injuries, damaging the frond end and a total loss to the vehicle. The force was enough to rebound the car back approximately 30 feet from the wall after impact. No help or warnings from the collision detection mechanisms was apparent. In a single prior time during the tenure of ownership (approximately 6 months) the collision detection system had intervened and manually stopped the vehicle on its own due to a car that had erroneously driven in front of the vehicle too closely. The car's lane assist successfully kept itself in lanes on most occasions. Several software related notices on the car dash had been reported during the tenure of ownership and in no case was the dealership able to figure out what was wrong in any of the scenarios, one of the software notices on the dash did end up just "going away" after some time.

69 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 06/01/2025

Every time there is morning condensation/dew or rain, my front collision warning does not work. A notification pops up, the symbol comes onto the dash and it takes a good 3-5 minutes depending on the severity of the weather to have the symbol and notification go away and work. Also, 98% of the time when my car was preset to turn on, the emergency brake automatically engages every time I get into the drivers seat.

70 Warnings problem of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Failure Date: 05/27/2025

The following problems began 5 months ago, 8 months after purchase with about 4770 mileage and current mileage of about 7623: multiple occurrences of check engine light coming on, sometimes setting dtc code, but often not setting code. Multiple occurrences of crash warning light coming on; it may have set a code or codes, but usually not. I think neither dealer was able to reproduce these 2 intermittent problems. Engine light, so far, has not occurred since it was traced to faulty connectors. As far as I know, the crash warning light has not come on since the dealer reduced front camera sensitivity. Also, for the past 5 months there has been intermittent, engine miss, skipping or cut-out. As of this writing it still occurs while driving and will lurch or buck if it happens under acceleration this is not frequent, but it happens erratically and it may happen only once or a few times in one day or several days between. This has not set a dtc code as far as I know; I think the following may be related to the skipping. Once, while coming to a stop, the engine stopped or almost stopped; it bucked when it happened, but continued to run. All warning lights came on for a second or two, then went off, except 3 warning lights and the warning triangle. Although the engine was running, the tachometer and speedometer read zero. The engine bucked as I slowly drove into a parking lot, then I restarted the engine; it seemed ok, then. About 3 weeks later, while driving at slow speed, just as I took my foot off the brake and was about to accelerate, the engine quit. When the engine quit, the audible crash alarm went off with a message saying the engine was not running, press the start button. I started the engine, it did not have normal power. I stopped, restarted the engine and it seemed ok. I have been to the dealer several times because of these problems; dealer is still troubleshooting the last incident. This could cause an accident, especially if it occurs at a higher speed.
