2 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

Failure Date: 10/08/2016

Esc light and abs light have come on intermittently since we bought the vehicle in 2010. They usually went back off after stopping the car and shutting off the engine. The other night while driving down a highway at 70mph, those 2 lights and the awd light came on and are not turning off. Looking on internet, I see these 3 lights coming on is fairly common and can be a safety hazard. Wonering if/when this might be addressed asa recall.

Failure Date: 03/28/2015

Started car, esc off, awd, and abs warning lights stayed on. After a few minutes driving there was a whirring noise in the engine compartment on the drivers side. Stepping on the brakes made the noise go away, noise returned when releasing the brakes. Repair shop diagnosed it to be the abs module which needed to be replaced.

5 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2009 Hyundai Veracruz

Failure Date: 10/08/2014

The abs light, esc light, traction control light and awd light all illuminated. The dealership tried twice to diagnose the problem, but could not locate any codes for it. The third time the issue arose, the dealer decided that there is an issue with the abs sensor. The vehicle is a 2008 Veracruz purchased in may 2009. I was told that the vehicle was just past the warranty period and that Hyundai would not cover this item. It appears that this is becoming a common problem with this vehicle, as there have been at least 15 complaints on the NHTSA site and many more listed in the Hyundai forums online. Please investigate this issue and see if a recall is warranted. Thank you.
