The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai Xg350. While driving 5 mph, the contact attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued to accelerate. She had to exert maximum pressure to the brake pedal in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local repair shop, but the mechanic was unable to locate the cause of the failure. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 41,000. Updated 10/06/09

Vehicle would accererate without warning while brakes applied to slow down or stop. Driver hit another car in the rear and caused $6100 in damage. No one was injured. Car towed for damage repair and subsequently towed from collision shop to dealer. Dealer could find no problem. This problem occured 4 times since car was purchased in 4-03.
