Brakes Failed Problems of Infiniti FX35

I proceeded to pull into a parking space and my brakes failed to stop the car. I went approximently 3 feet before the car stopped after I pressed the brakes. I was going approximently 3-5 miles per hour, since I was about to pull in a parking space. I nearly crashed into a vehicle in front of me.

2005 fx 35- I was t-boned, proceeding to stop and had no brakes at all. Car has been checked and found no damage to brakes/lines everything checked out fine. I could not stop the vehicle and went through an intersection. I finally stopped the vehicle by hitting the side of a tree. Prior to that I turned key off and placed into park, I couldn't take my eyes off road I was approaching another major intersection. I did not want to hit anyone or be hit again. I am concerned, I have 2 children and even after vehicle is fixed, will my brakes fail again. I did slam on my brakes after being hit, they went down to floor, I kept trying and trying. . . . No brakes. I have read that some of the 2003 have had break failure. Please help.
