4 Service Brakes problem of the 2005 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 06/20/2016

On Monday, June 20 as I was driving up the ramp to go to the gw bridge, there was a lot of traffic and we were in a slow motion. I was pressing the brakes to avoid hitting the other car but my car kept on rolling and therefore it hit the bumper of the Acura car in front of me. What I do not understand was the brakes were serviced 3 months before, but still it did not work and I was very sure that I was pressing the brakes and not the gas pedal but still it did not stop!.

6 Service Brakes problem of the 2005 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 02/09/2010

I have had consistent problems with Infiniti. My brakes constantly make a squealing noise at slow speeds. I've spent about $2,000 to try to correct the problem with numerous visits to the dealer, only to be told that this "happens with all the fx models". I've contacted Infiniti executive dept and they sent a technician to the dealership to take my braking system apart. I was told in the end that it was my driving habits and because I live near the beach, the salt water air interferes with the brakes. What!?!? Infiniti did nothing to try to research when I said other owners have this same problem, they basically left me hanging. I will never purchase another Nissan or Infiniti. I've been trying to get my local news station involved to get some media coverage on this, I know I'm not the only owner with this problem. I would like other people to speak up to Infiniti so they could possibly be overwhelmed with this issue and be forced to recall the vehicles until the problem is solved.

7 Service Brakes problem of the 2004 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 12/15/2009

The contact owns a 2004 Infiniti Fx35. While traveling 45 mph the contact attempted to apply the brakes and they would not engage causing the vehicle to drive through an intersection. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where the contact was informed that the repair shop who previously serviced the vehicle installed aftermarket braking parts on the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle back to the previous repair shop where the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating normally. The vehicle was then taken back to the dealer where the brakes were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that the brake fluid had created a bubble in the line and was repaired. The failure recurred for the third time and the vehicle was taken to the dealers who stated that the failure was due to a faulty computer and was repaired. The failure recurred a fourth time after the computer was repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was informed that the computer was defective. The contact is concerned about the safety risk while driving the vehicle. The failure mileage was 39,000.

8 Service Brakes problem of the 2005 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 01/02/2007

I purchase a 2005 Infiniti fx 35 in November 2005. After 1000 mile the brakes started squeaking when backing up (whether cold or hot). At approximately 5000 miles riverside Infiniti (purchase vehicle from) installed TSB upgraded brakes. The squeaking went away for about 1000 miles and it came back with a vengeance. The dealer did not and currently does not have an answer. I currently have 15k miles on the car and now I am receiving a groaning metal to metal sound when I apply brakes at very low speeds. I took the car Infiniti of escondido and they stated my tires are "cupping" and I did not have my wheels balanced during my last rotation and that is the reason why I am having metal to metal noise? please help in resolving this issue.
