One problem related to service engine light on has been reported for the 2006 Infiniti G35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I own a 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe that has less than 60k miles and burns two quarts of oil every 1000 miles. I originally became aware of the problem back in 2008. I took my vehicle to the dealership to begin excessive engine oil consumption testing. At that time I only trove about 200 miles a month and the dealer said I needed to be driving 2500 miles to preform the test. I explained that there wasn't a way to put the mileage on my car without unnecessarily driving around town. My car requires premium gas and it's absolutely ridiculous for someone to think I would spend thousands in gas to show my car has a oil burning issue. Last month month after less than a thousand miles since my last oil change, my service engine light came on. I took to the dealer immediately and they said my car definitely has a oil consumption problem. They also said they would not fix it because my warranty is expired by time not mileage. The manufacturer as well as the dealer are fully aware that there is TSB issued on my vehicle. I have opened a case with Infiniti consumer affairs as well as the bbb. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks you, todd kemp.
