Infiniti G35 owners have reported 5 problems related to front seat power adjust (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2005 Infiniti G35. While driving approximately 35 mph, the front driver's side seat began to move forward inadvertently, moving the contact farther toward the steering wheel. The contact applied constant pressure to the power seat switch and placed her foot firmly on the floorboard in order for the seat to remain secured. The failure recurred sporadically. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the power seat adjustment switch was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Failure of drivers side seat frame due to cracking twice. Once at 26,177 miles on 8/8/06 and again at 60,815 miles on 5/20/10. The way I became aware of the failure is that both times it interfered with the power seat operation. I have been the only driver of this vehicle since it was new. I am not a big person, male, 5'8" 160lbs. The vehicle is perfectly maintained, looks new and all service records are available. Replaced under warranty the first time the seat frame cracked and replaced the second time out of warranty at the same infinity dealership. Inquired from the dealer if this was a safety issue and they would not answer. Contacted the manufacturer directly twice to get additional info and inquire if this was a safety issue. They said the first time that they would not tell me one way or the other. If they felt it was a safety issue they would self report it directly to the proper party. They did not respond to my second inquiry. This did not seem appropriate to me after the issues with Toyota. I have saved the part from the more recent replacement in case further inspection was necessary.

Purchased G35 sedan sept 2002 equipped with premium package including power drivers seat. Driver's seat shifts or rocks when moving from a standstill or under hard accelleration. This unexpected seat movement is unnerving while navigating the vehicle and may be a potential danger.
Drivers seat "rocks" back and forth, sometimes emitting a "popping" or "clicking" noise, especially when accelerating from a stop or while cornering under normal driving conditions. The movement of the drivers seat while driving the car has caused disruption of normal driving habits, resulting in erratic acceleration and over and understeering. I have found certain adjustments to the seat reduce the movement, but these adjustments make the seat uncomfotable and do not provide the proper sitting position I need to operate the vehicle safely. I see this as a safety issue and have thus notified two seperate Infiniti dealerships, both of whom were unable to resolve the problem and one of which made the movement worse during their "inspection" of the faulty seat. I own an Infiniti G35 with the premium package, which includes leather upholstery and a full-power drivers seat.
