Visited infinity dealership in regards to sporadic engine stalling while in 1st gear only to later find that a recall has been issued on same year and model of my vehicle. Vehicle stalled on highway numerous times while in 1st gear. No engine light came on eluding to the fact that their is an issue. Issues has been happening for months and dealership is aware. Suspiciously, my vehicle was not named but a very basic search online does uncover that numerous consumers have been experiencing the same issue. This is putting consumers in a dangerous situation which could result in an accident. Same scenario with my passenger seat working sporadically.
My car seat moved all the forward while driving to work in denver metrobench and back support both pushed me a few inches from the steering wheel. I had to move my leg with my hand to reach the brake pedal. One week later, my car horn began beeping and would not stop while driving. My vdc and brake lights now stay on constantly because the anti skid does not workI almost wrecked on a snowy highway. The front tires wear exponentially faster than the back tires. I had blowouts two separate times on the interstate. The front windows are now glued shut because they roll down on their own. The airbag light stays on now too. I realize it's an old car; I bought it for $8,000 4 years ago when it had ~95,000 miles. Now it has ~140,000. The level of quick decline is truly frightening though. I don't drive my 2003 infinit G35 any more and am apprehensive to sell it to anyone else. The car I loved is now like driving a horror movie.
The electric motor controlling the reclining of the seat back has failed. Leaving the seat back in a reclined position with no way to move the seat back into an upright appropriate driving position. It is incredibly difficult to drive because I am unable to rest my back on the seat and have to hold myself upright at all times. This seat failure occurred sometime around mid-November, and on Friday may 27th I nearly experienced a collision with a stray dog in my neighborhood due to my poor viewing angle of the road when I was resting my back against the permanently reclined seat-back. Now I drive with back off the seat-back so I can better see the road, but if I get into an accident, there is no upright seat support against my back to hold my body in place and minimize trauma.
We are having a reoccurring problem of the front passenger seat airbag sensor not working. The vehicle has a light which illuminates when the passenger airbag is not "armed" for deployment. The first time we took it to the Infiniti dealership they said they could not replicate the problem. It continued to be a problem for us intermittently for over a year. My main concern was always that if we (my wife and I) were involved in a front end collision that the airbag may not deploy and she could be injured as a result. Finally, a couple weeks ago, the light came on again. We happened to be close to the dealership so we took it right over. My wife even recorded a video of the light being on while she was in the passenger seat. The dealership tried replacing the airbag control unit. It is basically the "brains" of the airbag system. A few days later we picked the car up, started driving home, and the "passenger airbag off" light came back on. We immediately went back to the dealership. They further explored the problem and told us that we would need to replace the bottom part of the front passenger seat. The seat is not covered under our extended warranty so it would cost us over $5900 (yes, that's right. . . Almost six thousand dollars!) to replace the seat. After doing some research, I have discovered that we are not alone in this problem. Infiniti recalled other G35s for the same problem! our vehicle was not produced during the period that the recalled vehicles were; same model year, just different manufacturing date. In addition, after looking at the NHTSA website I found that many other people whose cars were not part of the recall are having the same problem with the airbag sensor. I believe the airbag sensor is defective on many Infiniti vehicles. I just hope another recall is issued before someone is seriously hurt due to the airbag not deploying.

The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp flashed and indicating a malfunction. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags and electrical system). The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the front passenger side seat needed to be replaced as well as the sensor which failed within the seat cushion containing OCS hardware. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000. Updated 7/21/cn.
My 2008 Infiniti G35 airbag and passenger airbag lights illuminated. I reset the lights and checked the wiring under the passenger seat but the lights came on again. I took the car to the dealer and and they came up with code b1018, occupant sensor (unit fail) past code. They reset the lights and recommend changing the passenger seat bottom if the lights returned. The cost?. . . . $6137 but they will give me a discount, charging me $4176. This model was recalled for this problem but not my car. . . According to the VIN. My car was manufactured Sep 2007, right in the middle of the recalled vehicles manufactured interval. I believe Infiniti should be required to assume the cost of this expensive repair by including it in the recall.
Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the air bag warning light would randomly illuminate. The dealer diagnosed that the passenger's side air bag harness kit needed to be updated. The vehicle driver's side was repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 10v175000 (air bags, seats). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure was 107,000. Ne.
Vacuuming car and put both seats in a forward position. When I was done the seats would not move back to its regular position. Passenger seat was already giving me electrical problems, however back part of seat still worked. The driver's seat I had never had problems with before. Both seats are now in an akward undrivable position and will not budge. I do not know what the problem is but what I do know is that the dealer will not sell individual parts, but the seat as a whole which will set me back a couple thousand that I do not have.
While eating lunch at bojangles in petersburg, va. , people inside the restaurant noticed smoke coming out of my car while parked. Fire department was called and fire was extinguished by a volunteer firefighter in area. Fire department arrived afterwards. It appears the seat caught fire unexpectedly. Interior of car also caught fire and was on burning until extinguished.
The car is having tons of electrical issues with climate control , radio and passenger air bag sensors. Body control module and seats. Car won't start and I have taken to 3 different shops and experts and cannot figure out issue with car. Car is not operable and won't start. Contacted infinity and they told me they don't have any open recalls. They don't offer any information or help on major car issues for a 2006 model. Please assist on this matter. Infinity is refusing to acknowledge all issues with electrical and bcm issues on G35's.
Driving 70 mile in fwy my car engine just shut off completely I almost died out there because of cars behind me. I calmly changed steering wheel to right side of fwy with left over speed after 5 of vehicle behind me almost crashed me and each other. Turn off engine and started engine few time and it worked so I sent my car to shop and they said it's a 2 of sensor prob. And while he was moving my car, driver side seat switch button was on fire! fire! what is going on. I would have been killed out there if not for god. I see a lot of people complained on sensor prob with engine shut off, isn't this dangerous to drive???? risking all of people's lives????.
Cam shaft sensor check engine light came on saying it was that. Replaced both sensors costing $150 for autozone parts light still on. Read that some had success unplugging battery for 24 hours and filling the oil up. . . . . Smh sad seat slides forward when breaking about 4".
The sedan has an airbag that does not work properly the airbag light flashes non stop on the vehicle and does not go away. L looked online and saw a previous recall on this issue and the problem still remains. I took it to the dealership to be told that it was my fault and they do not warranty safety issues anymore. They continues to print out a statement for $1000 dollars with a code b1134. Its a $35,000 dollar car it should not have "safety" issues. Maybe because it is to expensive to deal with or is a human life more expensive. The airbags are obviously not working properly and the fact that they want to charge me for an issue they need to resolve internally is not very good business practice or professional. I know of other consumers online that have had the same issue plenty of people online with complaints. Being its a safety issue this needs to be addressed ASAP. If I were to get into an accident and the airbag does not deploy I will take legal action. I have no issue with that just have an issue with Infiniti not taking responsibility. Thanks.
According to the us government, Infiniti recalled 2008 G35 for passenger side air bag problem associated with a sensor in the front passenger seat. Air bag warning light on the dash board keeps blinking. The dealer said the recall has to be VIN specific, and thus my car was not subject to the recall. Isn't a recall caused by a common or generic problem that exists in most of if not all cars of same model and same year? in this case 2008 G35? dealer said I should pay for the repair first and then seek refund from Infiniti. $3500 out of my pocket and take a chance? so how do I go about getting vic specific recall?.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 142,000. Updated 2/11/014.

The airbag light came on when I started my vehicle. It is actully the front passenger side airbag turned off considering there was adult in a seat. I checked for the recall and found many similar air bag mulfactions with the same year make and model but Infiniti says it doesn't apply to my particular VIN number. The passenger front seat occupancy sensor went out. At the purchase of my vehicle I bought expensive warranty but it doesn't cover airbag system. I noticed similar complaints on cars. Com website. Who knows what will gona brake when they buy warranty for their vehicle? I would not make a big deal out of this but to fix this small problem I have to spend $3481 because to replace this small sensor I have to buy the whole assembly of the bottom of the passenger seat. This is what Infiniti service manager told me. . Read more...
Car suddenly started having passenger airbag light coming on. Took to dealer 3 times and they couldn't find an answer. Forth time hit me with 3735. 60 tab for faulty occupant detection sensor. Never had accident either.
I have been informed by the orlando Infiniti dealer that "passenger control unit assembly (found passenger side occupant classification control unit failed)" although there is a recall in effect for this exact problem for 2004-2008 Infiniti G35 sedans, Infiniti says my car with this exact problem is not included as a VIN within the recall.
The driver side seat rocks back and forth. Dealer says I must pay to have replaced for ~$1200. I noticed via internet search this problem has been assigned NHTSA item number - 10016401. Just wanted to add my car to the list.

Gradually the rocking in the driver seat has gotten worse. Now when I accelerate or decelerate my driver seat rocks forward or rocks backwards. I have contacted Infiniti about the TSB they released: itb02080, but they referred me to my local dealer who said they would charge me 100+ dollars to diagnose the problem. I can see the broken bracket and have no need of a diagnosis.
Driver's side seat bracket becomes detached, causing the drivers seat to dangerously move around when the vehicle is in motion. When driving, this extremely dangerous situation will abruptly alter the driver's seat position by physically moving the hand and foot location, causing abrupt adjustment of throttle application, braking and/or steering, which can result in loss of control of the vehicle and possibly fatal injuries.
I own a 2004 Infiniti G35 sedan w/ 6 speed manual transmission. The driver seat rocks back and forth severely during acceleration or braking under normal conditions. The rocking causes difficulties when attempting to shift gears. The clutch and gas pedals can be pressed inadvertently causing erratic driving. I spoke with the infinti consumer affairs department and was told my complaint would be filed, but there is no fix for the issue. I was told I should go to an Infiniti dealership to have the issue assessed at my expense. I called the nearest Infiniti dealership where I explained the situation. I was informed that other customers had come in with similar issues and it costs between $900 -$1,100 to repair. This a major safety concern that needs to be addressed immediately.
While driving, the seats automatically move forward all the way towards the steering wheel. The only way to stop this movement is to hold onto the seat control to move the seat backwards. This happened several times, and causes a very dangerous situation while driving. No corrective action has been taken yet. The car was not brought into the dealer. 2005 Infiniti G35 coupe 6mt.
Driver side front seat motor/track assembly. Seat stuck - does not move forward or back. . . Seat motor assembly ignited bottom of driver seat. . . Smoke billowing out of switch assembly and bottom of seat. (Nissan service dept states that track/motor/switch assembly needs to be replaced. ).
A safety recall notice was issued on 7-12-10 indicating a potential hazard for the passenger airbag not to activate upon a crash. Apparently a remedy for the problem was identified by Nissan/infinity and was carried out on the vehicle in 2011. Subsequent to that repair I purchased the vehicle from its 2nd owner and in approximately July 2013 the same problem reoccurred. This necessitated my visit to the infinity dealer to both diagnose and repair the problem. Again a remedy was identified by Nissan/infinity but the remedy had changed from the previous one. As the first remedy was part of a recall and paid for through the dealer, I am requesting that the subsequently remedy be subject to another recall or be a continuation of the first recall. I was informed by the dealer that the cost of the remedy was my responsibility since it was not the subject of a 2nd recall, even for the same safety issue. I am at a loss as to why this is not the same ongoing safety issue identified in April 2010, only to be later identified and assigned a different remedy, probably because the initial remedy failed and did so over a relatively short period of time? please clarify. Thank you.
2004 Infiniti G35 sedan model problem: seat track the driver side seat track is severely loose; little by little the seat began to become looser; too a point were it almost a rocking chair. Deciding that my vehicle is under warranty I took the vehicle to authorized dealership. Result I was charged $350 for them to review the vehicle and come to same conclusion that the seat track is not working properly and that it would require new seat track costing me about $750. 00 and also that the warranty would not cover because of being wear and tear. I indicated that it was an safety issue and should be under the warranty for defect seat track. There's thousands of vehicles that are older than mine and never have seat track problems. Why is there so many seat track complaints? there is an issue because the seat track was obviously bolted down improperly or the seat track is not built under strong sturdy quality.
