Brought car in for any state inspection and found the front suspension crossmember to 100% rusted thru. Car failed inspection. Found out that this is a common failure on this model of Infiniti. In addition replacement part is on national back order. So on top of a poorly designed part they are unable to keep them in stock.
Been having problems lately with the engine light coming on and the slip and vdc light also.

The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, an abnormal, popping sound as the rear end of the vehicle dropped to the pavement upon depression of the accelerator pedal. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the contact discovered the rear subframe hanging off the vehicle. The contact initially towed the vehicle home and then to an independent mechanic. The mechanic discovered that the rubber bushing that held the subframe was not a strong reinforcement to hold the subframe in its place. The contact notified several dealer about the failure and each informed him that they were unaware of such failure. The dealers informed him that he would have to purchase an entire new subframe which would contain the same defective rubber bushing. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 130,000.
My car has been stalling while driving at low speed. Several warning lights come up (check engine light, slip light, battery light) and then the engine shuts down completely. Upon placing the car in park, I am able to re-start it. This is a major safety issue. I believe my car is part of recall number 03v455000 - engine and engine cooling. However, my VIN is not part of the recall, but I am experiencing the same issues associated with this recall. This needs to be re-addressed. I have children, and I am worried that this issue can cause an accident, especially while I am driving on the freeway. I have seen various similar complaints related to this issue with Infiniti.
I spend my last on this car because I love infinity cars that's was my dream car I lost my job over this car now I don't have nothing my car sitting wit this problem I can't even get it fix my dvc n slip light on the car start doesn't moving on gas the gas pedal doesn't pumping the gas it's to much please help me please.
Burns oil at 5 quarts a week or more. Piston rings are defective. Common for this car I've read and there was a recall that Infiniti issued but this has not included my vehicle. Suspension also wears down brand new tires in less than 3 months. My boyfriend has the exact same car and this is a problem with his vehicle also.
My dash is melting.

2005 Infiniti G35 sedan. Consumer found many problems with car and feels been fooled by dealership. The consumer stated two days, after he purchased the vehicle, he noticed defect. A mechanic confirmed the air bag was not functioning, as the light was flashing, the tires were overly worn, the cd player was not working, the passenger door would not shut properly, the wheels were not aligned and the lower cat shield made a noise.
The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that while traveling 60 mph, the vehicle suddenly spun out of control. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic, who stated that the suspension needed to be repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 122,000 and the current mileage was 124,132.
While driving, wheels started shaking. When I took the vehicle to Infiniti they said the compression rods went bad and that this was a common problem in G35s. Service guy even told me that the part is defective and if it breaks while driving your tire/wheel can fly off. If it is defective then why hasn't Infiniti issued a recall?.

My first issue:engine oil consumption I am an owner of a 2005 Infiniti G35 5at. I bought it certified pre-owned at 62,000 miles 2 years ago. From last year (when the vehicle was at 78000) miles I started to have severe oil consumption problems. One day I took it to get an oil change and the mechanic noticed I only had one quart of oil left. By the next 1000 miles (after the oil change) the oil light kept coming on every time I braked. I pulled over and checked my oil and it was extremely low to the point I was scared of driving it further so I got it towed to the Infiniti dealer. At that time I was out of warranty and they weren't able to help me. I started looking online to see if other G35 owners were experiencing the same issue and I was shocked to see how many were. Right now I carry oil with me in the trunk knowing that it is going to be burning. I hope there will be something done about this as it seems a lot of people have been affected by this issue. My second issue: suspension and tire wear. Ever since I purchased my car I have gone trough too many tires (last year alone I went through 3 sets). I am not a crazy driver and always careful on the way I drive especially after purchasing so many tires. I have bought aftermarket suspension parts (to adjust camber and toe as it is not adjustable from the factory) to try to alleviate the tire wear but it has not done anything. I am on my 5th set as of a month ago and I got a custom alignment done to maximize tire life but they have already detected uneven tire wear.
The Infiniti g and Nissan 350z have significant tire wear issues. These vehicles were produced without the means to adjust the tire camber. Therefore, tires are lasting less than 20,000 miles. The tires are overheating and tire belts are breaking. I consider this a significant safety issue as I had a tire failure this last weekend due to a broken tire belt. A class action lawsuit is in the works, but I feel a dot investigation is needed. Thank you in advance for your efforts.
The G35 coupe is experiencing what seems to be tire feathering. I started hearing loud growling sounds coming from the tires, it started at 11,500 miles and has gotten much much worse at 13,000 miles. Infiniti consumer affairs said. . . And I quote "there is nothing we can do for you," since there is no recall on the car. The dealerships are telling me that this is normal since it's a sports car, obviously these people don't know about the cars they service or basic auto mechanic info. They did admit that the tires are cupping, but are not doing anything about it. The sound is unbearable and Infiniti don't want to admit that their cars have a problem that so many people are experiencing. Shame on them.
I purchased a 2005 G35 coupe in July of 2005. Since taking receipt of the vehicle the car has pulled right. This occurs on all road surfaces and is more pronounced at higher speeds. The dealer told me the car was aligned to factory specifications. Then they changed out the tires and wheels with ones from a loaner car that didn't pull (and had similar miles). Then they told me it was due to road crown. The last time (4th) time I took it in they said all Infiniti's pull to the right. A quick survey among four other Infiniti owners at work revealed that none of their Infinitis pull right. The dealer refuses to rectify the problem. [side note: there were service bulletins for the 2003 and 2004 G35's for the same problem. ].
Front end alignment problems. The consumer stated that the inside tire wear down was 2/32 . Problem existed when the consumers vehicle was new. The consumer stated that the rear camber seems to be out and the rear tires were worn on the inside edge. After service it was found that the rear camber was out of spec and was adjusted.
