Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of Infiniti I30

Airbags did not deploy when an oncoming vehicle hit my car. It is a total loss.

Takata air bag recall, involved in a front end collision with the car. Other vehicle at fault, ran stop sign. Car was total loss, airbags never deployed. Daughter sustained minor injuries.

The passenger front tire blew, the car then locked up, the steering wheel locked up, the car sped out of control (police estimated up to 70 miles per hour), the car ran into a brick building. The air bags did not deploy! I woke up surrounded by a crowd of people. Although, I pressed the brakes to the floor, and there were black marks on the parking lot leading up to the car inside the brick building, the car continued to accelerate, out of control.

The contact owns a 1997 Infiniti I30. While driving 65 mph, the contact crashed into the rear passenger side of another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The road conditions were wet and the vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. As of December 20, 2007, the dealer had not inspected the vehicle. Contact stated the air bag light illuminated. The problem has been remedied twice, but within 6 months to a year the light came back on. The dealer did know why the light kept coming on. They did replace a module assembly for side the air bag, this did fix the light, but after approximately 6 months, the light came back on. The dealer stated if the air bag light was on the air bag may not deploy in the event of an accident. Consumer has contacted the manufacturer, but they did not resolve the problem.

Infiniti saw no owner damage to airbag. Airbag never deployed. Does Infiniti have a problem with 90,000+ mileage vehicle initiating air bag warning? car has been maintained regularly-Infiniti stated that since they did not do the maintenance, the airbag is failing!.

Airbag light has come on about five times. Consumer took the vehicle to dealership,and they fixed it. Consumer has a concern at this time that if her vehicle comes into contact with another vehicle airbag will not deploy.
