Brake Master Cylinder Problems of Infiniti QX60

The master brake cylinder failed while on vacation in arkansas. Took to Nissan dealer pete mankins and they replace entire master cylinder. Mileage 114,905 miles. Date [xxx]. This second time same part failed. Had family with me we where able to stop by pumping brakes. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Issue: every 2-3 months car has has had a total break failure. By total brake failure I mean pedal goes all the way to bottom and seat belts tighten with 0 breaking power. Pumping breaks 2-3 times then returns to normal. Issue is not easily repeatable. Only other symptom is break pedal seems a bit softer than usual. Issue history: issue first started spring/summer 2019. Tried various items to fix issue including: bleeding break lines, switching master cylinder, etc. Car primarily serviced at jim lupient infinity dealer. Last item dealer wanted was to replace was the abs , but in big capital letters (may not fix issue). Contacted infinity consumer assistance and got 0 assistance. Infinity case number: 40461337 this car, as is, is a bad accident waiting to happen. We sold the car to the infinity dealer well bellow cost as could not in good conscience sell it to someone else due to how unsafe it is. This issue needs to be reported and investigated and potentially issue a recall. Issue similar to NHTSA id number: 11318845 infinity case number: 40461337.
