1 Service Brakes problem of the 2014 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 12/26/2025

Lafontaine import novi, inc. Dba lafontaine novi, a franchised Infiniti entity with actual knowledge of these recalls (16v-244; 15v-033; 13v-445), failed to disclose or remediate these "risk of crash" and "risk of injury" defects before selling me a 2014 Infiniti Qx60 on Nov 5, 2025. The dealer provided a "pre-delivery inspection" record on November 4, 2025 to carfax, but delivered the vehicle with these open recalls and multiple "red alert" mechanical leaks in the engine, transmission, and fuel systems. Only 588 miles after delivery, on Dec 26, 2025, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic cooling system failure (the radiator and transmission cooler) which demonstrated that the vehicle was not safe or roadworthy. The service manager admitted on January 6, 2026, that the radiator was defective and needed full replacement, which confirms the vehicle was sold with a pre-existing systemic failure.

2 Service Brakes problem of the 2022 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 12/05/2025

The rear brake pads have been replaced every year. The first time was on 3/11/23 at 15,080 miles. The second time was on 2/24/24 at 30,279 miles. The third time they were replaced was 2/28/25 at 42,731 miles. I took the car in again on 12/05/25 and the rear brake pads needed to be replaced again. This is not normal wear and tear. The dealership told me it's a known issue and Infiniti isn't doing anything about it. There is a recall in place on the 2025 model of the Qx60 and I believe there's an issue with the brake pads on the 2022 model as well.

3 Service Brakes problem of the 2025 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 07/06/2025

On Saturday, 3/22/25-vehicle lease start date for the 2025 Qx60-lease from sanford Infiniti on Saturday, 4/5/25- brought the vehicle back to sanford Infiniti due to noise coming from the engine. According to their written paperwork, “the issue is currently under engineering review and the temporary fix is to disable the anc (active noise cancellation). Turned off anc as instructed by dts, the concern is under engineering review. ” on Sunday, 7/6/25, on my way back from being out of town, as I approached an oncoming red light with cars in front of me, I tried to press the brakes and the brakes locked up, hard locked. I repeatedly hit the brakes until they finally unlocked and stopped the vehicle right before impact. I then pulled over to calm down from shaking after almost getting into a car accident. The brake issue could have been worse, and I could have not only hurt myself but others too. They may not have ‘found’ something wrong with the brakes, but the brakes locked up me and I was the one who almost got into the car accident, not them. I don’t trust the car anymore and would like to find a replacement but definitely not with Infiniti. However, even if I did get the car back, I do not want to drive it as I do not feel safe driving it and I would hope that they aren’t waiting for me to get into an actual car accident to then try to resolve this.

7 Service Brakes problem of the 2023 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 04/09/2023

My car rolls back and forward, more than normal, after parking and putting the park into park and lifting foot off the break. It rolls back so fast that it knocked my mother forward and it knocked my daughter to the ground. So, when I put the car in park and I release the break is when it rolls back far enough to become a safety concern. The car also lurches forward when applying the gas pedal from a stoped position which is a safety hazard because it could potentially hit another car in front of me. Lastly, the car has a major hesitation from a slower speed into a higher speed which has been an hazard because if a car is coming up fast behind me I can’t pick up speed fast enough to avoid collision. It always happens getting off a ramp and driving onto a state road that has a speed limit of 70mph. The car is currently being serviced for the 3rd time since February but they told me that they can’t fix it because the Infiniti service department doesn’t have “codes” for the 2023 yet and that if it were a 2022 then they could fix it right away.

8 Service Brakes problem of the 2023 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 02/18/2023

The car lurches forward 3-5 inches when it is shifted into park. This happens regardless of flat ground or on an incline. This issue has happened since the purchase of the car in February 2023. I had the car inspected by Infiniti and they found no issues with the brakes/rotors or braking system. This happens regardless of if the parking brake is engaged or not.

9 Service Brakes problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 12/20/2022

Infiniti hyman bros failed to complete my Infiniti Qx60 2017 in a timely manner. Appointment made for 2 months. Waited 2 hrs in house for repair to be made and was told the parts are not available.

10 Service Brakes problem of the 2020 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/01/2022

While driving, the vehicle will sometimes think there’s an object (vehicle or something) close in front of me so the brakes will automatically engage, which slows down the vehicle. This is quite alarming as this has happened on several occasions, causing me to almost get hit from the rear. I previously took the vehicle in to report this problem but they couldn’t duplicate it so I was informed that there is no problem. However, just because they don’t know how to duplicate it, that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. I am concerned about my safety so this needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, for the date of incident, I will use the most recent date.

11 Service Brakes problem of the 2022 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 04/21/2022

When I'm pressing the brakes on the car at all speeds (more noticeable at slower speeds) the car jerks before it comes to a complete stop. When the car is first turned on, the cars brakes smoothly. Unfortunately, after a few times braking, the car will jerk before the car fully stops. At times , the jerk is minimal, where only I feel it. Other times, my passengers feel it and the whole car moves. Another issue I'm having with the vehicle is when pressing the brakes, the car takes a while to slow down, causing me to have to push the brakes with more force than usual, which is a problem especially driving in city streets. I took the car to the service department and they said they didn't feel what I described when they took the vehicle for a test drive. They did suggest I bring the car back if the problem continues. I'm concerned because I had major electrical problems with this vehicle already and I've only had this car for 3 1/2 months. Please help get these issues addressed. Thank you.

13 Service Brakes problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/30/2021

When breaking the pedal starts to bounce and make a super loud noise like if the rear tire is flat. It does it sporadically at low speed breaking making it hard to stop the car. I have taken it ti the dealer numerous time and the Infiniti special mechanic cant find the issue. Also, when driving on the highway the slippery sensor turns on slowing down the car suddenly almost causing an accident. The awd overheating sensor turns on as well all the time as well as the one for mismatch tires. This has been happening for almost 2 years.

15 Service Brakes problem of the 2015 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 10/01/2020

First off there is a safety bulletin already released. And I know 2 others who own this vehicle who have the exact same issues. It's time to actually take care of your clients and fox the drive train issue. Where when driving and turning especially at slow speeds there is a violent vibration that comes from the front of the vehicle. Please take care of your customers. The dealership originally told us this issue would be replaced under recall. Then said sorry it's just a bulletin now. But it will turn into a recall before the winter. And thai was last year. So we have waited over a year now and there is still no official infinity Qx60 2015 recall.

18 Service Brakes problem of the 2015 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 01/10/2020

Random loss of acceleration. Car wont move faster that 2mi/hr. When it occurs, I depress the gas pedal, the engine is silent put car into neutral or park and depress the gas pedal and the engine rev's as normal. This has happened several times and a few times while driving on busy highway and almost being hit from behind because vehicle eventually stops and won’t start back up. Brakes would also go to the floor which causes seat belt to snatch you back. My vehicle is unsafe and Infiniti consumer affairs won’t do anything about it. They only fixed the brake issue after a year and 1/2 of complaining about it a technician was pulling it in for ac repair and couldn’t stop. So they replaced all brakes and master cylinder and it still happens but less after brake job. Car will just stop accelerating on highway and so I pulled a carfax and discovered at 4900 miles cars computer had to be reprogrammed and transmission had to be serviced . It was sent to auction from the manufacturer not the dealership why? car is dangerous for my family and I and will eventually kill all of us that are in it when one of these issues happen at the wrong place and time. Please please help us. Vehicle only has around 62000 miles and I purchased vehicle when it only had around 24000 miles in 2019.

20 Service Brakes problem of the 2015 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/08/2019

Intermittent issues involving the braking system. 1. Brake pedal sinks slowly to floor when braking or in stop. Wheezing or chirping sound when releasing the brake pedal. 2. When braking softly, brake pedal travels about 50% before the vehicle begins slowing. 3. Issue persists the entire time the car is in use. Had several near misses with hitting vehicles and pedestrians in front. Vehicle has only 32k miles. Problem is reduced when intelligent brake assist (iba) is turned off. Mechanics advised problem with abs actuator and similar issues reported on 2014 to 2017 models. Recall must be made as son as possible as there are safety critical and other drivers experiencing same issue.

21 Service Brakes problem of the 2014 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 05/29/2019

Abs brake actuator- when the vehicle is stopped, the brake pedal will continue to depress. When the break is released a chirping sound is made. This is a known safety issue on the 2017 model. The dealer and several chat groups online all point to this being a known issue with the model. There is a 2017 recall for this part. The recall says it is a potential fire hazard. I believes the recall needs to be expanded. The abs brake actuator should not fail on a vehicle with 77,000 miles. I had the car at the dealer for the issue previously and they "could not find" the issue. A third trip and the issue is found.

22 Service Brakes problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 03/30/2019

Issues occurred for last week or two. After few minutes of driving when car engine is hot, my car steering wheel becomes so stiff that sometimes it is impossible to turn right or left. Also when you push break it's make noises, it's sound like crushing empty soda can.

23 Service Brakes problem of the 2014 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 03/29/2019

Intermittent issues involving the braking system. Most days the issue is not present. Some days the issue occurs the entire day. Some days the issue only occurs once out of 4-5 times the vehicle is used. 1. Brake pedal sinks to floor when at a stop. Wheezing sound when releasing the brake pedal. 2. When braking softly, brake pedal travels about 50% before the vehicle begins slowing. 3. Issue persists the entire time the car is in use. Restarting the vehicle sometimes restores functionality.

24 Service Brakes problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 01/31/2019

My car hydroplaned and everything shut off. The brakes and steering wheel locked and the engine shut off. There was nothing I could do to prevent the accident. I was driving under the speed limit and was not engaged in any reckless maneuvering. I felt the car slide in an unnatural direction and when I attempted to counter correct I found the steering wheel had locked. I next tried the brakes which were also unresponsive. The vehicle slide into the center divider on the freeway and I slowly rolled to a stop. Upon coming to a stop there was a strange odor in the cabin of the car, some sort of fume. I tried the gas peddle but the engine was unresponsive as well. I was pushed off the highway by highway patrol. When the tow company showed up, the driver of the tow truck was able to start my car by bypassing the systems ignition and jump-starting it, he then drove it up onto the tow truck bed without a problem. This tells me that the brakes, power steering and engine failure was not cause by the damage of the impact but rather that the car shut itself off in mid transit. I've contacted infinite and they are refusing to run a diagnostic on the electronics to find out the cause of the failure, so I am taking matters into my own hands. I'm grateful for the center wall divider or else the car would have slid into oncoming traffic! searching for insight and/or similar experiences form infinite car owners.
