The contact owns a 2005 Jaguar S-type. The contact stated when the vehcile was parked she observed a gas odor in the cabin. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank and pump, flange, retaining ring, pipe fuel feed , strap tank r/h and l/h, heat shield, fuel hose, heat sleeve, evaporator pipe, electronic control unit, fuel tank harness, cable tie, cabin overlay wiring harness needed to be replaced due to an unknown reason. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
