1 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2013

The contact owns a 2009 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled as the transmission warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 103,000. The VIN was unavailable.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 08/19/2011

The transmission locked into neutral and could not be moved into any other gear. An internet search will show that this happens often with the 2009 Jaguar Xf.

3 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 03/17/2008

I leased a new 2009 Jaguar Xf on 3/17/08. The car had one noticeable serious design defect that will certainly kill someone eventually. I reported it to the dealer, sale, service, and regional Jaguar. The car has the new "paddle" shifting levers behind the steering wheel at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. It is nearly impossible to drive the car without accidentally hitting the paddles -sometimes at inopportune moments, sometimes at high speed.
