Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator Problems of Jaguar XF

I was notified via letter dated Feb 28, 2018 by Jaguar that my Jaguar Xf was included in safety recall j072 takata passenger airbags. The letter states: "due to prolonged exposure to combined high heat and humidity, the front passenger airbag module inflator housing may explode and deploy abnormally in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the front passenger airbag. In such event, a front passenger airbag module inflator housing explosion could result in sharp metal fragments striking the passenger or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death. " then they proceed to say, "Jaguar is carrying out a recall of certain Jaguar Xf vehicles within the model years mentioned above. However, we currently do not have stock of the necessary components to repair your vehicle. Parts are expected to be available by March 2019. " so, Jaguar has told to continue to use the vehicle as we intended when we purchased it, while endangering our lives because of the issue. I can not sell the car because of a lack of interest in the vehicle and a steeply declining value. Does this qualify under the lemon law or what remedies do I have?.

Takata recall. The front passenger airbag needs to be replaced ASAP due to potential for the module inflator housing to explode and deploy abnormally in the event of a crash resulting in sharp metal fragments striking the passengers. The Jaguar dealership advised they do not have stock of the necessary components to repair my vehicle. Parts are not expected to be available until 3/31/2019 which is over a year from now and that is unacceptable! where can I go to have it fixed immediately?.

There is an open recall for the airbags inflator housing since December 2017. As per a letter received from Jaguar the remedy wont be available until March 2019. That is an awfully long time- 1 yr and 4 months, to fix an issue. Even after that god knows how much time they are going to be take to actually fix this once a remedy is available. Especially when this is a serious issue which can result in death. Jaguar needs to be pushed so as to complete this ASAP since this is an awfully long time to be driving an unsafe car.

Jaguar sent me a letter with a recall related to the passanger airbad stating "prolonged exposure to combined high heat and humidity can cause the affected inflators to degrade -- at varying rates in different conditions -- increasing the risk that the front passenger airbag module inflator housing may rupture and deploy abnormally in the event of a crash; potentially resulting in metal fragments striking the passenger or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death". I feel unsafe driving this car now and want to sell my car since Jaguar have not scheduled a repair yet and customer service denies to give a specific date range. I am scared to drive this car since it is a major safety hazard and would like Jaguar to either fix this issue now, or give me a fixed date and give me a refund on the car. I cannot even sell this car since it is illegal to sell this car with this recall and dealers would not buy it from me. After multiple conversations with Jaguar customer service Jaguar could provide no solution to this problem and just asked me to keep waiting.
