1 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem of the 2011 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 06/30/2021

Currently the fuel tank is ruptured leaking fuel on the ground. The leak is not visible as to where it is originating from. The leak stops after the car sits for about a half hour. I have not taken the car in for inspection. I did find that there was a recall for this possible problem back in 2012 and was wondering if the manufacture is still liable for this problem even after it is fixed the first time? other than the strong odor from the fuel the only indicator I received was the service soon light came on the dash. Not sure if this would be covered under recal 12v521000.

2 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem of the 2011 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 04/01/2021

I currently have a model year 2011 Xf vehicles and it is equipped with a 5. 0l gasoline engine. It is my understanding that this issue was affecting 2010-2012 Xf vehicles equipped with the 5. 0 l gasoline engine. The affected vehicles may have a fuel tank fuel outlet flange that may crack. I'm currently having the same issue that the recall is speaking of; however, my vehicle is not in the current recall. I wanted to bring this to Jaguar's attention for current owners like myself, for the affected vehicles may have a fuel tank fuel outlet flange that may crack. I think this is a very dangerous recall that should be for all of 2010-2012 Xf that have this issue. This is the information that is currently posted online for Jaguar's customers to see, but when I called about this recall, I was informed it didn't apply to me even though I am affected.

3 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem of the 2011 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 08/21/2020

I had my 2011 Jaguar running while I wait for a locksmith and I could smell fuel coming from the vehicle mainly on the side where the gas tank is located. Once I sat inside the vehicle I could smell gas inside. I looked underneath the vehicle on the gas tank side and I noticed a fuel leak on the tank underneath. I had it checked and was told that it has to do with with the flange. I read that there is a recall but when I put in my VIN- it states no repairs or recalls. This should be covered.

6 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem of the 2012 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 11/05/2018

In 2012 Jaguar had a recall on some of their fx model cars due to faulty fuel tank flange issues that could cause the cars to catch fire. The NHTSA campaign # was 12v521000, the recall # was: j027 & the potential number of units affected was 4,195. In the document I've enclosed, you'll see that my vehicle had the exact same issue with the oil leak and cracked fuel tank flange that other cars were recalled for in 2012. I initially noticed a strong fuel smell in my garage after turning the car off and closing the garage door about 1 weeks ago. My next door neighbor also complained that she smelled the gas fumes in her house last week, but noticed that they went away after I removed my car from the garage and parked it outside. I checked Jaguar's website and asked my Jaguar service advisor if there was a recall on my vehicle because I'd previously read about the fuel tank flange recall, but both sources did not confirm a recall on my car. I called Jaguar this morning while at the dealership waiting for my car to be serviced, and was told that they recall was VIN specific & it was indeed for the same exact issue I had fixed today. I'm concerned that I was driving around in a car that Jaguar has known to have a serious issue that could've resulted in my car catching fire, yet mine and other Jaguars who may have had or may have the issue are still on the streets. Due to the severity of the matter, I wanted to bring it to your attention in hopes that you can intervene with this serious situation.

10 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem of the 2010 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 10/01/2017

I purchased my Jaguar used and noticed a fuel smell after driving it a couple of weeks. The dealership replaced the fuel rail which has not corrected the problem. After the rail was replaced, I continued to smell gas and noticed fuel leaking under the rear passenger area of my car when it's sitting stationary, after being driven. The dealership has agreed it's due to a faulty (pt# c2z10550) fuel tank outlet flange which is a known defect/recall for this type of vehicle (j059), however the dealership says it doesn't affect my vehicle as it wasn't manufactured where the vehicle issue originated. All resources I have located suggest most of the vehicles were assembled in bromwich uk, but not all. I'm sure my issue is related because it exactly matches the issue described in the recall and I need help getting this faulty part and labor covered by the dealership. I have already paid thousands on the fuel rail replacement which must not have been the problem to begin with, since the same problem still exists today. This is a fire risk and safety issues that needs addressed.
