Other Fuel System Problems of Jaguar XF - part 1

Item was recalled and supposed to be fixed by Jaguar recall: 12v521000, however after it was “fixed” the same issue is occurring and the vehicle is leaking gasoline. Jaguar is stating that wither or not it was fixed correctly it has been closed and I would be responsible for repairs although the recall was not properly fixed initially!.

I just recently purchased the car from a dealer here in salt lake city. But suddenly began to smell fuel mostly in the backseat area inside the car. I decided to investigate and found there is a leak underneath the rear passenger side of the car which appears to be fuel looks like it may be mixed with the little oil hard to say it's a pretty steady drip especially if I'm parked uphill. This is definitely a safety hazard being that it is fuel and could easily cause a fire putting me my family and others at risk. I noticed there was a recall on these vehicles it is a Jaguar Xf 2011 but it looks like it has been closed from what I can tell. I'm hoping that that's not the case and we can get this fixed with minimum or no charge thing it was a recall.

Vehicle has one open recall. Recall has been corrected by Jaguar per their statements. However, refuse to report fix to NHTSA so updates can be made to the database.

Fuel tank is leaking fuel from the top of the tank. Fuel is visibly leaking, I must exit the vehicle to air out and breathe. I’ve had multiple medical visits for headaches. Jaguar/Land Rover has had multiple fuel recalls, but have told me my car is not covered.

I was driving at a high speed. 65 mph and went to accelerate to pass another vehicle and when I pushed the gas there was no power, the steering wheel locked up and I went off the side of the barley missing the ditch and then stopped. The I tried to restart it and the check engine light came of and after a couple attempts I had to have it towed to Jaguar of tacoma. My car is a 2024 with only 46000 miles on it. This shouldn’t be happening. I have to other vehicle to drive. I commute for work so I need a reliable car, which I did my research and thought this was one.

The dealer said that they fixed the recall, which is not true, because it came back so fast, it just unreal, the manufacture is one who should care about that, I was driving my kid to school wen the car started to shake badly, so I thought its kunda danger to my family !.

I have read several reports of my specific model of car with a flange issue in the fuel rail system and yet my car is not apart of this recall it smells of gas and I'm sure it's regarding this same defect. I have no check engine light on my gas is being consumed at a faster rate than expected and yet I'm being told my car isn't affected which it is. This is the issue why don't you all add these vehicles to the list there are so many.

Car shutdown powers completely off in rush hour speed traffic and will not do anything cant get it in gear or anything do to faulty electric components and faulty fuel pump and its components this is completely a fatality waiting to happen for the car owners and the on coming traffic vehicles this is real bad this also made me and my wife anniversary day the worst ever we are scorn for life.

Since purchasing this vehicle, I have noticed the smell of gasoline within the cabin of the vehicle. The smell becomes nauseating after a while. I have three small children who complain about the smell inside the cabin and I worry about their safety as well as their mother’s and mine. There have been recalls regarding this issue with this very vehicle, but for some reason mine is not included in the recall. I have called Jaguar USA and they say the vehicle’s VIN is not listed as one of the ones recalled.

There have been constant issues with this vehicle. The car has a strong odor of gasoline when driven. No alarms or indicators tells me that there is a problem. There have been safety recalls on this particular model that have the exact same issues but when checked my VIN number is not listed. This needs to be investigated because I believe that this is an continuance of the same issues that has affected the 2013 Xf Jaguars.

I have reported this problem about my car stalling, cut off when I turn. I have noticed you have had several complaints for the same issue over and over again. I just went out on the forum. Is someone going to address these issues. Engine/fuel propulsion system/stalling in traffic is dangerous many lives on these dangerous highways. How can my vehicle not be on the list for recall if several owners with the last 8 digit VIN number starting with blr. . . Please help!.

When you slow down, the vehicle cuts off completely. When you turn the car on, it's almost as if the gas is not traveling somewhere and causes it to take a while. Having it cut off on the highway is a very scary thing. I see recalls yet they're acting as if my vehicle is not affected by it.

Having serious electrical systems pcm bcm electrical etc speed control mod parking.

Car shut off while in motion makinga left hand turn in rush hour traffic started pouring fuel from bottom of the vehicle. Then began making a clicking sound. Petrol was raining from the bottom of the car.

When my car started up I notice that the screen on the stereo system was just flashing and never came on also the car started over heating and check engine light came on also there is has leaking from the right rear passenger side door below car is in the shop now with $2,745 dollars worth of work being done to it.

My vehicle which was stationary began to leak fuel after trying to start the car. There was no leak prior to attempting to start the car nor was there any physical damage or collision to the area.

Scheduled recall j077 on 1/23/20 at north jaquar (18205 interstate 45 n, houston, TX 77090) and was denied recall and turned away. My vehicle had to be towed to repair shop on Saturday where 2 fuel leaks were discovered. My car stalls and is leaking fuel and coolant light has started to come on (red).

The vehicle lost power on freeway, lost power to power steering, felt sluggish (no fuel) when I pressed accelerator, could not accelerate above 35 mph. Had to stop car on side of road. Turned on and off waithed 10min, car started and was able to drive, but repeated above discrimination. Occured 12072019 and 12082019. Dash lights came on and check engine light stayed on. Add 93 octane fuel thinking I had bad fuel, problem continues. Scheduled appt with Jaguar to look at car on 12102019. Car not drive able. It is under warranty. Taking car to Jaguar fort worth. Vehicle suffered from complete engine and power stall. Vehicle shows to have 12 recalls related to engine, power stall and hoses.

I have a live that comes on that says restricted performances and it's so dangerous I was driving on the interstate and soon as that light restricted performance the car lost of power. . . It don't do any every time I pushed of the gas the car slowed down. The car only have 70,000 miles on it. Is this not a recall on that?.

My car has a gas leak from the top seal. I saw where there is a recall in this but manufacturing company keeps reeling me it's not my VIN that the recall is affected.

Hi fumes of gasoline odor inside the car. After I found out there has been a recall for fuel leak for 2010-2012 model I contacted Jaguar and they issued a case number also they said my VIN was not included in the recall but they recommended to take it to a jag dealer to assess the repair. Jaguar later denied any further help with repair facilitation although I expressed my concerns about the safety problem being the same as the vins they recalled!.

My car is leaking fuel on ground. I was passing someone and noticed my car was reading on the dash losing performance. The mechanic saying exactly what the recall is saying but my VIN doesn't fall under the recall. Also my dashboard is coming up.

The vehicle was taken to Jaguar greensboro (1205 bridford pkwy, greensboro, nc 27407), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Unexplained fire: vehicle was being driven to work. Upon pulling in to the parking lot, driver notices burning smell. Driver parks, bystander approaches driver to alert that the vehicle is on fire. Driver exits vehicle and notices a fire under the passenger side of the vehicle, approximately 1. 5ft in diameter. Liquid is spilling onto the ground and catching on fire. Driver proceeds to work security desk to call fire department. Car is now enveloped in flames (~15ft). Fire spreads to vehicle in front of the Jaguar. Fire causes damage to a total of 4 vehicles and the asphalt. Fire department extinguishes the fire and vehicle is towed. The Jaguar was deemed a total loss. The Jaguar had been driven approximately 200 miles since takata airbag replacement.

I believe Jaguar should recall the fuel rail because the aluminum fuel rails corrode from the inside out from using certain ethanol fuels with low water content, which cause a pinhole that sprayed raw gasoline onto a hot engine which cause a fire. Those aluminum fuel rails were need to be replaced with stainless steel rails. My car was almost caught on fire due to a pinhole fuel leak which developed. And this occurred while stationary and moving the smell was so strong I had to drive with the windows down. And to make matters worst the fuel rail is no longer available through Jaguar the part is obsolete so how can we have are car repaired if Jaguar doesn't even carry the part ???.

My car is leaking gas and I was told by Jaguar that it's not included in the recall on fuel leakage for that model. However NHTSA says there is a recall. I can smell gas while driving it an it leaks outs once I stop. I am not driving it again.

The VIN was not available.

The contact was informed that the fuel system and the evaporator system needed to be repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 09v424000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was contacted and made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. Ah.

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Jaguar Xf. The contact noticed fuel fumes coming through the air vents inside the vehicle. The odor of fuel fumes was very noticeable after the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was taken to mich's foreign cars (1331 us-70, hickory, nc 28602, (828) 324-6012) where the dealer stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall; therefore, the contact would have to pay for the repairs. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they informed the contact that the fuel flange needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. There was a fuel leak caused by a wire containing a hole in the front of the vehicle causing the car to smell like gasoline when sitting inside. Possibly, caused by the top of the car rubbing against the wire, due to insufficient clearance. Service advisor mentioned that this was not due to the owner/driver's fault and it makes the car unsafe to drive due to possibility of a fire. There have been a few recalls by Jaguar concerning this exact issue, but Jaguar says my car is not included simply because my VIN does not match.
