Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee

Coming up on red light I attempted to brake and slow down. Pedal went to the floor and vehicle did not slow. Airbags did not deploy. Previous warning of airbag system issue was reported to hertz. Airbag light was not on before accident.

Tl- the contact owned a 2019 Jeep Cherokee latitude. The contact stated that while driving on a damp road at 45 mph, the vehicle independently went into park which caused the wheels to lock as several unknown warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. Due to the contact losing control of the vehicle, the vehicle slid off the side of road and hit several metal poles located in a farm yard. Once the vehicle came to a halt, the contact shut off the vehicle and discovered that the front driver side tire had detached from the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. A police report was not filed and no injuries as were reported. The contact was able to change the driver side tire with a spare and drove the vehicle home. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where insurance deemed the vehicle a total loss. Takata recall I had witnessed my air bags not deploy, when I was just involved in a car accident. Because I had unintended acceleration which caused me to not be able to stop and we were hit on the side and our side air bags did not deploy on our right side.
