Fm radio fades in and out. And volume changes drastically with different station changes. Sometimes restarting the car helps.
The uconnect system is malfunctioning when in motion. It is randomcly calling people, nav is a mess and not working, radio will switch from fm/am/sattelite stations, every thing is haphazardly messed up. I feel it very dangerous as it is so distracting. I traded the car yesterday so I would not get in an accident.
Radio has terrible reception. This seems to be a common problem as I researched online. Not acceptable. I want it repaired or replaced.
The radio cuts in and out only on fm station not on am or if your playing through bluetooth or ax cord. I seen tons of complaints all over the internet and nothing is being done about it. We are ready to take the car back. Please do recall and replace radio. When it does this you can turn volume all the way up and its not very loud. Love the car please fix thanks.
After starting car from sitting all night or during the day while at work, the car stalls while in motion within 5 miles while DE-accelerating with the stop/stop button deactivated or activated. Beep occurs, dashboard reads, "press break and push button to start", drive indicator on dash is blinking, d on shifter blinking, battery indicator is displayed, radio stays on, blower on but no air, foot on break, the start/stop button pushed. Pushing on gas pedal no response. Coast over to side of road and or a parking lot, wait until flashing stops, put car in park, restart car. Same scenario 4 times, dealer unable to find issue. Safety issue - worried about getting rear-ended.
I am having similar issues that other people are having. No acceleration, vehicle stalling, the car revving over 4-5k rpms stopped and foot on brake, radio issues. What I am trying to find out is how can I get fca to buy back this lemon. Also I would like some data of how many people have filled a complaint. I want to used this info and give it to the national center for dispute settlement.
Just purchased vehicle 3 days ago. Has 3,300 miles on it. Every time I've driven it today, the radio volume and reception fades in and out. On every channel. I don't live or drive in remote areas, so it is not a signal issue. I enjoy listening to music while driving, but this was so annoying that I rode home in silence. The fade in and out happens regardless of motion of the vehicle or volume I turn it up to.
My Jeep keeps cutting off while driving I'm the middle of traffic. I have complained about the problem and nothing has been done about it. It's unsafe. And radio cuts on and off, change the station and heat and a/c on its own.
1. On 3 occasions (most recently 12-2-18) during braking the emergency brake engages itself and the engine continuously engages the starter. Unable to put vehicle in park turn off the starter and after about 30-60 seconds able to put into park and restart the vehicle. On 12-2-18 I was slowing for a stop light and the vehicle wouldn't allow me to put the hazard lights on when I couldn't get the starter to disengage and put into park to restart the vehicle. It occurs without warning and the emergency brake must be pulled up. 2. The brakes often sound like they are rubbing (needing brake pads). 3. The radio will randomly change from fm to sirius and unable to turn off/on or return to the radio menu. 4. The radio volume most of time must be at 15 or higher to listen to the radio and will randomly jump to full volume while driving. 5. The android auto that I use for navigation and telephone will randomly scroll through the telephone contacts and begin calling. I have to unplug the phone to stop this.
This vehicle has too many systems integrated into and controlled by a single computer. After only three weeks (less than 600 miles) the radio would not tune correctly and would sometimes turn off the heater when changing a station. This is not a safety issue but the computer controlled transmission started to make noticeable noises and vibrations during shifts, starting at the same time while driving on a moderate speed highway . I believe that the computer is no longer functioning as intended and may cause unanticipated performance anomalies which could provide challenges for which the driver is unprepared. It appears that far too much computer control has been attempted on this car and the technology is neither proven nor reliable.
The fm radio stations go in and out, it only happens in the radio mode. It happens when your driving or not.
The car stalls while driving at low and high speeds. The engine will atop completely and the car rolls back or begins to drive backwards when it's restarted. This is a real safety concern as I have almost been hit 4 times now due to the car stalking in atop and go traffic and another time while driving at high speeds. Also, the car appears to chug or hesitate to change gears. It's is slow to pick up speed and at times, it will not accelerate. The radio fluctuates in volume level constantly regardless of the programming and it's so bad that you can't even use it. I'm concerned for the safety of myself, my children and others as well. Chrysler appears to have no concerns. Unless someone dies, I'm afraid this issue will not be resolved.
I leaned my 2019 Jeep Cherokee back in September 2018. A week after leasing it I was slowing down to come to a stop sign and it beeped at me and all the power shut off in the Jeep. I tried to hit the start button nothing. I put it in park after fighting with it to go into park and tried the start button again. Nothing. So I waited 2 minutes and tried again it turned back on and was fine for the rest of the drive. January 24 2019 I was pulling out of the parking garage at work and after 4 minutes of it being on it shut off mid driving. Same thing happened it beeped and all power shut off. I put it in park and hit the start button. Nothing. Waiting 2 minutes tried again turned on made it all the way home. Also when I turn either way it beeps as of a door is open. No door is open check repeatedly. When I go over a speed bump it sounds like something is grinding in the back end I have to come to a complete stop and start again after the bump or the Jeep will not move. The radio will randomly make a very loud static noise that is ear piercing for a second the it will be fine or it will restart the radio it's different everytime it happens.
Radio continues to go in and out after 4 times at the dealership. This problem does not occur every time the car is started, but it will be immediate when you turn the car on if the radio will work or not. My car has been updated with new programs, new radio system put in, and the issue is still not resolved. The dealership at oliver c. Joseph in belleville, IL stated they are not sure what the issue is. I will be taking my car back in for the fifth time due to the radio issue not being fixed. Also, if the radio starts out working properly when the car is initially started it will not happen suddenly. Either it works or doesn't work when the car is first started.
My radio cuts in and out on most fm stations.
2019 Jeep Cherokee latitude. First bought the car the head lights and tail lights were dead. Took it into the dealer to have it repaired, took it into the dealer for a tramission recall. Randomly driving down a major highway a vehicle just shuts off in the middle of in the middle of the road and wouldn't start back up for a few minutes while I was stuck in the middle of the highway. Called dealer. Radio randomly doesn't work correctly either stays running when the keys turned off car and keys taken out , radio randomly shuts off.
I bought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee lattitude plus 4x4 and from day one the radio has acted up. I have taken it back to the dealer 4 times for them to resolve the problem they put in a new radio one time, a antenna, the next and said they did some rewireing. What happens is when I start my vehicle either the radio will play or it wont ( well plays but you cant hear anything unless you turn the volume way up all most maximum before you can start to hear it). After each time they said they had it fixed. It also when not working when you hit search stations it will go from 95. 9 and keep going with out stopping back to 95. 9 so no stations on search to stop on. They said they are not sure what to do next if it acts up. So after being frustrated I did a search on my Jeep and found this web page with other people some with the exact same vehicle as mine having the same problem. I did have video but not sure how to get it off of google photos to put on here. The radio only does it on start up and might work the next time and not the next or work a few times then not the next you never know when it will act up. Here is the website with others having the exact same problem as me. . Read more...
Radio August 2018 drove for about 6 hours. Stopped for dinner. Started the Cherokee no radio. With out the radio nothing works ( no ac/heat, navigation, phone etc. ). Bought the 2019 Cherokee in may 2018. July of 2018 the radio was replaced ( refurbished radio / not a new radio } volume problem. So this is the second radio in this vehicle ( not happy with a refurbished radio in a new vehicle that is just months old ) , dealer/Chrysler keeps doing systems updates that don't work. At least once a week the radio will not turn on and when the radio doesn't turn on I cannot operate any of the internal systems because the screen is blank.
This is in reference to my 2019 Jeep Cherokee latitude plus. The radio fades in and out most of the time. After initial startup it may or may not work properly. If it does not work (fades in and out) then it will not correct itself. The only way to possibly get the radio to work properly would be to restart the vehicle. Then it may or may not correct itself. This happens on the am/fm stations. It does not happen while using sirrus radio. This occurs about 75% of the time on startup. 25% of the time it works properly. When it is not working, there is only one or two stations that will be able to be tuned if using the auto tuning button. It will tune to the one station (however, it still fades in and out). The dealer has replaced the radio to no avail. They are trying the antenna however there are several owners who report that does not work either. Although this is not necessarily a safety concern it is still a major problem with my $33,000 vehicle. We need to know how to get this rectified. This has been happening since the day I picked up my vehicle.
Engine shuts off itself while driving at 40mph in 3 different occasions . All issues in this car start with the radio reseting itself to antitheft/engineer mode or shutting off.
