I bought my Jeep Cherokee latitude plus in may 2019. 6 months later the stop/go function stalled and the car turned off during a turn at the light. I almost gotten rear ended with my daughter in the back seat. Had to put it in park to get it to turn on again, mind you I am still in the intersection. The car turned on but continually did that at least twice a week. The is unsafe to drive, I do not know how it has 4 out of 5 stars. The car has a hard time starting. I have to try several times to turn it on. Until recently, it just won't turn on any longer. Battery is fine. The starter is not doing its job. I have to get it towed to the dealer about an hour away to get it looked at and fixed. Don't know if it can get fixed. I have read that other owners of this vehicle have had the same trouble and seems as though their car is always in trouble.
Vehicle shutting off completely prior to a stop sign. Attempts x 3 to restart vehicle, acts sluggish taken to auto parts tested by machine . Battery ok alternator ok starter ok help only problems !!!.
Ignition not starting at all while pushing starter button and pressing brake pedal. Jeep has been in the shop several times. Key fobs replaced, starter button replaced and receiver hub replaced. Jeep continues to have this problem intermittently over the last 6 months.
