Fail To Accelerate problems of the 2006 Jeep Commander

1 Fail To Accelerate problem

Failure Date: 01/27/2014

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander 4x2. The contact stated that while driving at 10 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed and the air bag warning light illuminated. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was undetermined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 168,000.

2 Fail To Accelerate problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the park assist warning light illuminated and the vehicle suddenly failed to accelerate. In addition, the gauges failed. The contact also stated that the vehicle stalled on multiple occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) was received in July 2014. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted on multiple occasions and was informed that the part was not available. The failure mileage was 70,000. Djr.
