Two problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 2015 Jeep Compass. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The airbag light goes on intermittently while driving because of the driver seat belt sensor issues per the mechanic. Also, the passenger seat recline lever broke right off, so we can no longer recline. More importantly, the car sometimes won't even start. Dashboard panel just remains black, and the engine does not even turn over. Just silent. After waiting a few moments, it starts perfectly. Mechanics don't know.
We purchased the Jeep Compass on 11/15/14. Within the first week of ownership, the airbag light came on. We returned it to the dealership a total of 5 times between 11/15/14 and 12/12/14. On 12/12, they replaced the airbag. Within another week, the airbag light started coming back on again. We have reported it again and took it back to dealership. They said the last time that there was no one there that knew how to fix it. We really love the Jeep, but are not comfortable driving a car with airbag issues and would really like to get this resolved quickly.
