Two problems related to accelerator pedal have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Pe 01 021/ rolled away in park: vehicle inadvertently jumped out of gear into reverse on several occasions. Consumer was able to apply brakes before it took off. Dealer / manufacturer were not notified at this time, also, a clunking would appear after applying accelerator pedal.
While driving at low speeds, and driver applied brakes vehicle continued to accelerate at high speeds. This resulted in an accident. Please provide more details. Ts.
