Failure Date: 10/02/2002

I understand that earlier model years have a recall or something similar becasue of a coating used on the inside of the gas tank that gets eaten away over time by an additive in the gas that is used in the north. This lining then clogs the pump and filter causing failure. The cost of parts and labor endied up being over 800 dollars. If this is a known problem why isn't it taken care of? mr.
