One problem related to steering anti-theft device has been reported for the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The fuel gage does not properly indicate the amount of fuel in the tank. The electrical system shorts frequently, locking and unlocking the doors, opening and shutting windows by itself. The alarm system also shorts frequently, doing the same thing.
