Engine problems of the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Engine problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2008

The contact owns a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving at any speed, the vehicle suddenly shut off. The failure occurs almost everytime the vehicle is driven. The vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer and the contact did not notice any differences beforehand. The current mileage was 137,000 and failure mileage was 132,000.

2 Engine problem

Failure Date: 05/09/2003

While driving 45 mph, the vehicle began to pull to the left, and then smoke emitted from under the hood and the vehicle had to be towed.

3 Engine problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2002

Consumer states that while driving at any speed and no warning the vehicle will shut off causing consumer to pull over. Dealer notified. Ts.

4 Engine problem

Failure Date: 01/30/1998

Damper crankshaft failed causing noise in the front end.
