2 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2005

Jeep shutdown while driving on interstate, instrument panel disabled except for the following three indicators: no key indicator, check gage indicator, one beep then the check engine indicator would come on. Would have to wait 15 to 60 minutes before Jeep would start again. Took vehicle to dealer and had the following repairs: hanged ignition keyholder on steeling wheel replaced fuel pump (twice). Replaced fuel pump modulator (separate repair). Replaced gage modulator. Problem still occurs, problem resembles service bulletin 081599.

3 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2000

Electrical system : instrument panel: cluster module works intermittently. Speedometer and all gauges would go down without prior warning. Dealer has not found remdy, and advised consumer that problem was not a safety defect. Defect could probe consumer into an automobile accident with speedometer not working.
