Side/rear Glass problems of the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Four problems related to side/rear glass have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2001

Driver's side rear window was stuck in upright position until dealer changed regulator hose. Since repair of the hose window shakes and leakes. Please provide further details.

2 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 04/27/2001

Rear window had blownout while vehicle was parked. Had at least 2 windows slightly open at the time. Had happened before in September, 2000. Nothing had hit it.

3 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 07/01/1999

Since buying the veh, loud differential whine at 45+ mph; front rotors needed to be replaced (warped) at 7500 miles; rear flipper glass leaks; loud grinding noise when pulling away from curb (transfer case fluid replaced after lurching when making tight.

4 Side/rear Glass problem

Consumer was driving approx. 5 mph when backing out of drive way and backed into another vehicle, consumer says ther rear glass is to dark, for correct visiability. The glass is super tinted. (private tinting) the VIN. # registers super tint, and consumer inquired about tint at time of purchased. Chrysler says tint meet fmvss.
