While driving 65 mph driver's foot was stuck on accelerator pedal due to a seizure. The passenger tried to maintain control of vehicle but was unable to do so. 2 Accelerator Pedal problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2003

The engine speed on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee accelerates unexpected and very sporadic will engine is idleing or on the highway. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer and other mechanics and they cannot find whats wrong with it. The dealer re-set the computer per a service bulletin but that didn't help. I have managed to control the speed fluctations by depressing the gas pedal several times and it brings it down to normal speed or idle.
