1 Door problem

Failure Date: 02/28/2015

The contact owns a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that all of the windows became inoperable. The contact mentioned that only the driver side door would unlock with the key and all other doors would unlock manually once inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 185,000.

2 Door problem

Failure Date: 03/16/2003

The rear windshield wipers were defective. The rotors were replaced, there was a gap in the back door which caused the door locks not to work, the door had to be repainted and the steering wheel cover peeled. Mr.

3 Door problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2002

Consumer states vehicle door is stuck in the lock position. Consumer states that passenger door will not unlock, with or without key. Ts.

4 Door problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2002

Rear door on driver side will no longer open, either manually or with remote. Please provide additional information.

5 Door problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2002

Consumer states that the front drivers side door and rear locking devices are jamming. Consumer states once was trapped in vehicle. Please provide any further information. Mr.

6 Door problem

Failure Date: 12/21/2001

Power lock mechanism on left front door stopped working in 12/01. Had repaired on 12/21/01 at cost of $240. 56. The left back door locking mechanism stopped working in 1/02. Had repaired in 3/02 at cost of $268. The rear hatchback door locking mechanism stopped working in 4/02. The problem starts with a grinding noise then the lock fails to engage and fails to disengage.

7 Door problem

Failure Date: 07/12/2000

When brakes are applied they would shimmy, but vehicle could stop. Had taken vehicle to dealership, and mechanic machined rotors and replaced pads. On 12 Feb 01, after 9,834 miles, shimming problem with brakes returned. Took back to dealership, and mechanic replaced both front rotors. On 07 Aug 01 at 14,142 miles, shimmying problem returned again. Same replacement was done. Rotors not under any warranties. Consumer also stated that left front door was making a noise.
