The failure caused the vehicle to be pulled into the left lane while driving 55 mph. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who advised that the vehicle was not safe to drive due to the extensive corrosion of the frame. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 160,000.
