Dash Wiring problems of the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2010

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee se 4. 0l all gauges bounce and stop working and the truck start slowing down at 60mph had to pull over to the left shoulder. Then the truck would not restart for 15min just as a toll truck was pulling up. Called the dealer and they say if the truck is running now there is nothing we can do unless it is not running. Now the window and door locks does not work. The interior lights stay on. After reading some other post on the web this is a known issue. It seem like there a problem with the wiring in the driver side door harness where one of the wires break away from the harness. After reading the below post Jeep has done nothing to fix the problem. 3 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2007

Air conditioner blower motor failed to operate due to melting of connection of wiring harness to blower motor resistor. Possibility of fire with toxic fumes. Part was replaced by dealer and is available.
