1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/22/2017

Riding down rode. Speedometer and lights failed. Took to dealership while the vehicle was at the shop the walked away to file paperwork and airbags deployed on the vehicle. It was the right side air curtain. The entire length of the unit. According to the dealership the car was sitting motionless on the garage floor.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2013

The contact owns a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the front passenger¿s side air bag deployed erroneously and without warning while the contact was driving 45 mph. The failure burned the wires and caused the electrical system to fail. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the manufacture sent an engineer to inspect the failure. The engineer concluded that the inadvertent air bag deployment was not caused by a manufacturing defect, although the engineer did not provide a specific cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 180,000.
