Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Was driving on the highway and the passenger side air bag activated on its own. Car was not in an accident and did not hit a bump, pothole, etc. This is a huge concern and now I'm being told I need to pay for it deploying. Luckily no one was in the front seat when this occured. This should be a recall.
My Jeep has developed several large wrinkles on the top of the dashboard cover. I've seen comments from other Jeep owners that have the same problem. My concern is that the wrinkles in and stiffness of the dashboard cover might interfere with the deployment of the passenger-side airbag.
