46 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2014

I have gotten two safety recalls from Jeep. The first one is p14/NHTSA 14v-154 ( brake booster may prematurely corrode) and the second is p36/NHTSA 14v-391 ( sun visor vanity lamp may experience high resistance short). I have called several dealerships to try to get my car in for them to check and have either been told they don't have the part or are "too busy to service my car". I was even told at helfman Dodge Chrysler Jeep and ram in houston (713)533-6100 that they couldn't service my car because they were too busy and under staffed and then the man said " I don't mean to be rude, but it's true". My service engine soon light also came on at one point and they said they couldn't take my car in. I am very frustrated with Jeep's costumer service. I also called the dealership I bought my car from (auto nation) Chrysler Jeep and Dodge in spring, texas three times and never received a phone call back after leaving three messages with the service operator. I was told to file a compliant on this website if the recalls were not taken care of within a reasonable time. Thank you for your time.

54 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2014

I received a recall notice for the brake booster in may. I called my dealership in early June and they told me they were not receiving parts to fix this in a timely manner and I had to go on a 12 page waiting list. I called today to find out the status (2 months later) and they could not find me on the list and told me they would put me at the bottom again. This is not acceptable - when a recall is made, the manufacturer needs to have the parts available to service these vehicles and the dealership should have a better way of keeping track of things than a handwritten list. The dealer told me it isn't a problem since it's not yet freezing out, but if I have to wait months again as I already have - it will be winter and not safe to drive the vehicle.

57 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2014

I have had a brake recall notice for my vehicle for months! when I check with Chrysler and the dealer parts to repair the brakes have not been released! I have now received a second recall for a possible short in the headliner that could cause a fire, again no parts to fix the problem. Is the government going to look into this or am I wasting my time filling out messages on this site???.

58 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2014

I received a brake booster safety recall notice in June - p14 NHTSA 14v-154. I called the dealer today August 4th to set up an appointment for the repair (bill marsh, traverse city, mi). The dealer service rep informed me that they do not have parts, only get maybe three parts a week, and said I could be on a waiting list which now has over 30 people. I said at that rate it could be months before the safety recall is completed. He said he had no information about when the repair might happen and agreed that they (Chrysler) were not being very responsive. I got on a waiting list and was told they would call me if they get any parts. What is the purpose of a safety recall if the manufacturer and dealer cannot provide any service or commitment?.

63 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2014

Jeep put out a recall notice on the break booster for this vehicle in July 2014. The local dealership, family Chrysler Jeep, still, as of 9/9/2014 does not have the parts to correct the break booster issue. The dealership attendant today 9/9/2014, shannon, (male) stated that I would have to call back some time the end of September to hopefully get an appointment in October. This is not a an acceptable time frame when it comes to break failure. We have a newborn baby that must travel in this vehicle. Speaking today directly with the Chrysler group recall center 800-853-1403 they do not have an eta on when the dealerships will have the necessary parts to fix the breaks. Over 2 months and still no parts from the Chrysler group?? totally unacceptable by any standard. When I asked the call center rep to transfer me to a supervisor I was told, this call does not warrant a supervisor. Serious. I hope they did record this phone call today to verify that I was told "this phone call does not warrant a supervisor". After a bit of a talking to and demanding that the rep tell me "no" I have been on hold for 25. 03 minutes on my timer on the phone. I am sending this at the same time I am on hold with the Chrysler group recall center. Finally told that a supervisor will call me back in 1-2 business days. Noted to the rep that today is Tuesday, September 9 10:27 am and I look forward to hearing from a supervisor.

70 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2014

This is a complaint about the timeline in which this recall p14/NHTSA 14v-154 (brake booster) is taking to get fixed by the Chrysler group. I have been on the waiting list at my local dealer in rapid city since mid June and they inform me that they are only getting 3-4 parts per month to fix this. I don't understand why Chrysler is reacting so slow at getting the parts out to the dealers to fix this, especially with the winter months coming up and if water gets into the brake system and freezes it may cause the brakes to not work properly. I called Chrysler to complain and they didn't seem to feel concerned and just gave me a canned standard statement that it is a controlled recall. Now in the meantime I have a 2nd recall p36/NHTSA 14v-391 (sun visor vanity lamp wiring) which I am on another waiting list to get fixed. If someone can please respond and let me know what is considered a reasonable waiting time for the brake booster to get fixed? if my dealer can only repair 3-4 vehicles per month, it may be years before all the affected Jeeps are fixed.
