We have reported to the dealer multiple instances of noises (crunching and low thuds) and 'thumping' felt through floor boards coming from what appears to be front passenger side. Dealer installed right from sway bar end link as well as subsequently perform NHTSA mandatory recall repairs on front upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt. After each 'repair' the problem appears to be getting worse (additionally we had the experience of the 'sway bar disconnect unavailable' light coming on while driving on a paved surface without having depressed the sway-bar button). We brought the vehicle into the dealer again and one of the service managers came for a ride and confirmed our complaints. After a day of looking the dealer stated that they are going to replace parts previously installed as they may have been defective. Parts are on order but we are concerned for our safety in continuing to drive the vehicle, due not only the sounds we are hearing / feeling but after having researched complaints online (as there are many folks having similar experiences, it appears that Chrysler / Jeep still have more work to do on the safe operation of the vehicle . Thank you.
I was never sent anything regarding my recall, so I’m kind of upset now it’s been since June 8th, apparently, since recalls been made and now come November my insurance is going to 138. I can’t afford that with daycare and other expenses. I’m going to Jeep dealership tomorrow! and going to speak to supervisor. But please make this right it’s utterly unacceptable to have said in usaa ap that my insurance is increasing due to negligence of the dealership to inform me of my recall. I have two kids and not a happy momma right now.
I was slowing down behind a bus waiting for a kid to cross and my car just shut off out of nowhere and wouldn’t go out of park.
My car just put on the emergency brakes/forward collision warning while I was driving down the road out of nowhere and slammed on the brakes.
I was turning at an intersection when I got rear-ended. I do not recall the car stopping right before I got hit, but there is video that shows the my Jeep stopped suddenly during the intersection right before I was rear-ended. It appears the oncoming car turning the opposite way got too close causing my automatic braking system to immediately stop my car while I was driving. There is no other explanation as to why the Jeep just suddenly stopped as I know I did not press on the brakes myself.
Power steering would not work said to service blind spot unavailable and service electronic stability control.
Unknown, the Jeep designed as to not be able to be put in drive with a door ajar. Twice now pulling out of parking lots, while driving the vehicle has disabled itself, put it inself in park stating a door was left open. I'm alright with a vehicle not allowing an operator to leave park while a door is open but it shouldn't be able to disable the vehicle while turning on to a busy street once moving.
I took car to dealership on 3/8/24 for maintenance. After the maintenance was completed I picked up the car, paid, took the report and went home. In reviewing the report, I noticed an outstanding recall 10b pending. The service advisor never mentioned this to me, not did I receive notification from Jeep. I proceeded to call the dealer and they simply advised me to call Jeep because they did not have parts and did not know when they would be available. I called Jeep and opened a case. I expressed I had reviewed this vehicle had a stop sale issues as per the recall, yet no parts available. They mentioned parts would not be available until after the 2nd quarter of this year. I asked that my call be escalated. Today, 3/14/23, I finally received a call from an agent mentioning my request for buy-back was denied. I expressed that this was not a buy back, but a lemon, because this car has had 2 recalls already and it took them amount over 5 months to fix it. I mentioned this was a critical safety issued as stated by them on the recall notification as it says ": a loss of clamp load may result in the uca separating from the knuckle and the wheel falling outboard, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. " I drive my car with two small children and cannot afford to have a possible crash without warning. The agent told me he could put me on a recall list but it would be after the 2nd quarter that Jeep would start fixing these issues. The agent mentioned he could not see the reason why the buy back was denied. I asked for the call to be escalated to a supervisor. I am currently pending that call.
I have had water leaking into the vehicle from the sunroof, down the driver side b pillar and filling the battery compartment under the driver seat and leaving the carpeting wet. I discovered this in early 2023 only because I placed my hand on the floor behind the driver seat and felt it was wet. In April of 2023 the Jeep dealer cleaned the sunroof drains but it kept leaking. In October of 2023 I took it back again and they said the sunroof was damaged from the manufacturer and it had to be replaced. I dropped of the vehicle on 12/22/2023 so they could install a new sunroof and picked it up on 1/3/2024. I then dropped it off again on 1/10/2024 as it was still leaking. I picked it up again on 1/23/2024 and they said the new sunroof is also damaged and needs to be replaced. As of 2/16/2024 the part has not arrived and water still come into the vehicle, soaking the carpet under the driver seat and driver side passenger floor, there is a wire harness that comes from the b pillar and towards the driver seat that is also wet and the batter compartment fills with water. Also since October the auto stop start feature which used to activate during every drive has not activated once, dealer keeps saying it is working as it should. If so why has it not activated in 4 months? has the water intrusion caused this issue? is the water intrusion going to cause mold, rust or electrical issues?.
Lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning-not working, it had message to service and exclamation in red.
Purchased 1 Feb 23. 3 weeks later, I pulled out of driveway and drove 3 blocks before coming to stop sign, after stopping, I proceeded to pull across 4 lane hwy. Only to have vehicle shut off in middle of 2 lanes. I was left sitting broadside in middle of 2 lanes. I finally realized the drivers door was ajar, I closed door completely and was able to restart vehicle. It is now June 2023 and it happened again after driving about 3 blocks. This time it shut off while I was driving 50 mph in middle of 2 lane hwy. Again drivers door was ajar. This is a serious safety hazzard. Vehicle is not supposed to move if door is not closed completely. There were no bells or lights warning you that door was not closed completely. Jeep dearlership does not seem to think this is a major safety issue and did nothing to fix.
The rear view camera and surround camera intermittently work. It is available for inspection. This is a safety risk for myself and others when backing up the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed and reproduced by a dealer. There is no indication of the failure before it happens.
The SUV likes to stall or glitch out when trying to start. Won’t shut off when it goes through this situation. Starter has been replaced and so has battery. Dealership still can’t figure it out. Makes weird noise also that we can’t pin point. Doesn’t happen every start on spontaneously.
From the time the vehicle is started, there is an approximate 15 second delay for the backup camera and rear cross traffic alert to display a live view when in reverse and the vehicle is in motion. I. E. Putting the vehicle in reverse immediately after starting the engine will show a frozen, then 1-2 second delayed view of the actual image when in reverse. This problem happens any time the vehicle is started, and corrects after about 15 seconds, when finally an actual live view is displayed by the backup camera when in reverse.
2 different times when pushing the gas pedal on my vehicle it would not accelerate. The first time was while driving then accelerating. The second time was while I was stopped at a stop light trying to take a free right from a stopped position. Both times it sounded/felt like if you pushed the gas while in neutral, but it was in drive. ) the second time this occurred I was pulling out onto a busy street and was almost rear ended. This puts both me and my occupants at risk and the other cars around me. Both times I was able to get the car moving again by putting it into park then back into drive. My husband took the vehicle to the dealership today (5/26/22) and was told that they had heard of the problem but that there was no fix or recall. They offered no other advice or remedy for this unsafe situation other than to wait for a recall.
I purchased the vehicle 2/12/2022, a Saturday. On Monday 2/14/2022 I got in the car and it would not start. I pushed the start button and nothing happened. At first I thought my key fob battery was dead but when my wife returned home we had the same issue with hers. We called the dealer and they thought it was a dead battery and sent a tow truck. The tow truck driver and myself tried to jump start the car and nothing happen. We then tried to load the car on to a flat bed but could not because the car automatically engaged the electronic parking break and would not freely move, even in neutral. Two members of the dealer's service department came down the next day and tried to jump the vehicle and also tried to supply external power to the second battery under the passenger seat. This also did nothing. Keep in mind other electronics in the vehicle like the power seat and back lift gate continued to operate. We then had the tow truck return with a different truck which had the ability to put the front wheels on a dolly and tow the vehicle to the garage. When delivered to the dealership they tested it with the same results. Fortunately, they were able to "fix" the problem at the dealership it had appeared to be a loose fuse and we had the vehicle returned the next day. However, today (3/6/2022) I got into the vehicle and it will not respond again, same issue! the key fobs do not respond at all and if you hit the start button nothing happens. I have a wife, an eight year old daughter and twin baby (14 month old) sons. Now what if we are in the car together and this happens? now luckily both times this has happen it was in my driveway, but I cannot take the car anywhere because I cannot risk the safety of my family taking this vehicle. This was the purpose of buying this vehicle so we could have a family vehicle that would accommodate our family and now it is basically a brick sitting in my driveway. This is the second time this has happened in less than a month.
The interior radio and heat and air display brightness. The brightness changes independently of lighting stays on 15 min to long at dusk, come on 17 min to quick at dawn causing a blinding effect for the driver putting anyone in vehicle and other drivers at risk. Took to dealer twice first time they said all of wagoners operated like this second time they said it was a software programming issue. There is no warning when this happens just super brightness.
Hello, I am reaching out to formally escalate an ongoing safety concern with my vehicle’s reverse guidance system, which continues to malfunction despite multiple service visits. This issue directly affects my ability to safely operate the vehicle and creates a daily hazard while backing up. I have already taken my vehicle to the dealership multiple times, and each attempt has failed to resolve the problem long-term. I have also contacted Jeep corporate and was assigned case number, which has since been escalated to a case manager. However, the issue remains unresolved, and I am no closer to a permanent fix. This problem is especially concerning given the recent Jeep recalls involving camera, rear-visibility, and electrical/software issues. The recurring malfunction in my reverse guidance system appears to be directly aligned with the types of failures documented in these recalls, further reinforcing that this is not an isolated defect. At this time, I am requesting the following: 1. Immediate review and escalation of my case. 2. A definitive corrective action plan to permanently repair the reverse guidance system. 3. Confirmation on whether my vehicle qualifies for any recall-related repairs, software updates, or component replacements related to rear-visibility systems. 4. If the issue cannot be corrected, I am requesting that Jeep explore goodwill options, including replacement or repurchase consideration, given the repeated failures and ongoing safety risk. I have been patient throughout this process, but the unresolved malfunction of a critical safety system is unacceptable. Please respond as soon as possible with next steps.
