Warnings problems of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Instrument panel switches to italian, forward collision off light gets stuck on and my seat moved abruptly while I was driving down the road. I have taken my Jeep into the dealership last year for this problem, it was “fixed” but has come back. Noticed the light stuck on last week. Today while I was driving the panel changed to italian and my seat moved abruptly. Many people on online forums express experiencing the same problem.

I have code b273c-00 digital crash input on my Jeep. This is the code dealerships were informed if they see this code the vehicles have to be grounded. At this time, there is no remedy for the Grand Cherokees. The dealership can't release my Jeep back due to safety reasons, and it's been with them for over an month and counting.

While driving the vehicle(speed does not matter as this has occurred while standing at a stop light) all safety warning lights illuminate on the dash and render all of my safety features inoperative. This includes: abs, forward collision avoidance, rear collision avoidance, and park assist. Once this happens the vehicle becomes extremely difficult to operate and to stop. The remedy is to pull over, turn the vehicle off and open the drivers side door to shut off the rac (retained accessory control), let the vehicle sit for a minute or two, then restart the vehicle. All light will remain off and the car will function normally. This issue occurs at least 2-3 times per week and is extremely frustrating. I've taken the vehicle to the dealership several times for what they have determined to be a "software issue". Several trips have been for recalls, others have been for this issue and my infotainment system going black. The infotainment system going black is the second major issue with this vehicle. The dealership was able to get the system operating again with an additional software update, however it has not completely remedied the problem. The infotainment system will still black out, but for only a quick second, then it comes back on. When it does this, I loose all settings including profiles and siriusxm programmed stations. I've done a master reset on the infotainment system and have had it back to the dealership, but it still has not been 100% resolved. This is a safety risk when it blacks out as I loose navigation, audio, and bluetooth connectivity. Now my attention is not on the road but on the failed system. Dates and timeframe for service: Dec 18, 2024. Returned Dec 19, 2024: electrical work Dec 6, 2024. Returned Dec 17, 2024: electrical work Nov 11, 2024. Returned Nov 14, 2024: electrical work sept 7, 2024. Returned sept 7, 2024: warranty recall\oil change & tire rotation July 12, 2022. Returned July 12, 2022: electrical work-software.

The vehicle in September of 2024 after a software update randomly changed the settings. The forward collision off warning light remains on (in settings the forward collision is "on", the language changed to italian, the paddle shifters stopped working, the units changed, and the grid for the backup camera was turned off). I had it serviced at Jeep. They reset the vehicle which temporarily fixed the issue, however, 3 weeks later it happened again. There is a known mopar/star case number s2108000249. This is also reported in Jeep forum. My safety is at risk due to the failure of the forward collision warning light/software malfunction. I feel that I am at risk for a forward collision. Also the paddle shifters don't work.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the forward warning collision light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that a system reset was needed following an over the air software update. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance instead advising the the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The failure mileage was 41,000.

Driving down a road at 50mph during daylight hours. It was sprinkling and vehicle was in electric mode. There were no cars in front of me, or behind me at the time. While my foot was on the accelerator, there was a loss of power then collision warning engaged out of nowhere with the audible beeps, flashing on the instrument cluster, and sharp braking. The incident was brief, but certainly a safety hazard as there were no indications the automated emergency braking was going to occur.

On Jan 17, 2024, at 5:39 pm, I was driving the vehicle in electric save mode, where the temperature was around -19 degree on that day and I was heading for car wash, during that time, the vehicle in front of me applied a break. I was at safe distance I applied the break as the distance was close even the anti-breaking system did not work on hitting the vehicle at that time, and then it bummed three times. I was in shock at the vehicle's behavior and lost confidence in it. So the police office impounded the vehicle. To make the road safe. None of the air bags were deployed. I am having trouble picturing what would happen if this were on the freeway.

My car just put on the emergency brakes/forward collision warning while I was driving down the road out of nowhere and slammed on the brakes.

While I was driving with my family on a highway, I deployed the drive assist function that controls the speed of the car and keeps car in lane, out of a sudden the car itself deployed a sudden quick brake without any immenant risk in fron of me ( there was no car in front of my car for at least more than half a mile) this caused a very close threat from being hit by the cars behind me amd all of my family members to be scared and worried and even my wife blamed me for slamming the brakes without any reason. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer in the coming weeks to have it looked at and fix a recent recall as well as look into another weird noise/sounds that I was complaining to the dealer about in the past but was unable to fix or replicate.

The forward collision warning light comes on display cluster during start indicating it is turned off. Adaptive cruise control does not appear to be working because it doesn't give warning upon closing in on the vehicle in front of my vehicle and I have had to react by tapping brake to turn the cruise off. Parking collision warning works intermittently. These problems showed up after a software update done at dealership. When I took it in recently was told they could not find any problems.

Upon starting the vehicle, multiple dashboard lights came on alerting total loss of power steering system (eps). This also triggered lights related to forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. Vehicle was nearly impossible to steer out of driveway.

Lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning-not working, it had message to service and exclamation in red.

Power steering unavailable service required messages pops up steering becomes very tough to turn.

June 30, 2022 purchase receipt of vehicle. Did not begin using active lane management until August, approximately 800 miles on odometer. These problems came up repeatedly. 1. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control 2. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control off 3. Yellow warning light came service forward collision 4. Yellow warning light came active lane management 5. Instrument display text = active lane management (alm) unavailable service required 6. Active lane management is now intermittent 7. Instrument display text = blind spot alert off 8. When driving early morning before sunrise and going under multiple underpasses the driver instrument cluster camera came on and showed a red spot warning of obstacle under the underpass – however no obstacle was there warning lights and alarms continue to happen for the above. Fort collins Jeep service technician claims the root problem is a crushed cable part number 68510744ae located in engine compartment. Dealer has my vehicle, waiting for new cable. I was driving down the road doing about 35 mph and suddenly I lost power steering and car jerked to the right. Power steering light, forward collision control, lane assistance, traction control and blind spot warning lights all came on, and a message appeared on my dashboard to have them all serviced. I took my Jeep to the dealership I purchased it at in April and they are inspecting the cause of the problem. This is the second time my lane assistance and forward collision have had issues, and the dealership was unable to find the cause the first time. This is first time for power steering, blindspot and traction control.

1. In normal driving condition suddenly apply the breakes full,putting yourself at risk if you have another vehicle that comes behind you, it will definitely hit you 2. On many occasions the anti-collision system is deactivated for no apparent reason, it is almost always in specific areas, I understand that it has to do with some WI-fi signal.

While traveling on a 2 lane road with no one around the fcw system went off and emergency braked the car. No cars were anywhere to be seen. If someone had been behind me, I don't think they could have stopped.
