The current recall is unable to happen as it has to be over 50 degrees. This is the second major recall in under one year. I have had issues with the radio, apple car play, the engine dying while in park and idling. Additionally, the vehicle suddenly lost power while driving it at 65 mph on a major highway when trying to pass. The only answers I get is the lemon law. This vehicle is not safe, the dealer has only offered for me to trade out of it into something extremely higher of payment. I am requesting a dealer buyback due to major safety concerns. This vehicle should not even be on the market. The acceleration issues continue and I am done!.

The above vehicle was rented to my wife from avis location at bradley airport in connecticut from January 4th,we had it until January 12th before learning about the recall. Avis swapped the vehicle for use when learend about it, but have not refunded us for the days of diving with a recalled vehicle.
Took vehicle possession Mar 24, 2025. Battery total drain after being in airport parking lot for 10 days in August. Dealer (megee motors georgetown DE) replaced accessory battery after failing bench test. Battery total drain in Dec after being in airport parking lot for 2 weeks over holiday.
Vehicle engine shutoff while driving which led to no acceleration. No warning lamps prior to failure. It just completely shutoff and on the message center it stated how to start the vehicle as if it was not already started and running. I was in electric mode.
I recently had recall work done. I picked the vehicle up on December 23, 2025, and the vehicle is not charging properly or driving well. When plugged into the level 2 charger it took 10 plus hours to charge when it used to take 2. 5 hours to charge. The vehicle is also not driving well now. As soon as you take your foot off the gas it’s almost like a major brake is being applied. It’s not safe to drive this way. I have contacted the dealer and will take it back on Monday, December 29, 2025.
While driving approximately 70 mph on the highway, my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe experienced a sudden and complete loss of power without warning. This created a dangerous situation with risk of collision. The vehicle is also subject to an active recall related to high-voltage battery fire risk, which prevents safe charging and normal hybrid operation. Additionally, at approximately 12,000 miles, the vehicle developed a transmission pump failure requiring repair. Due to these combined issues, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, particularly when transporting my children. This incident represents a serious safety concern involving loss of propulsion at highway speeds.
See attached document for complaint. This letter is to fo rmally notify you of my vehicle's fai lure to conform to the express warranties under the ill inois lemon law, and to demand compensation. The vehicle had a significant defect that was not, and r bel ieve could never have been, corrected after a reasonable number of attempts. As of the date of this letter, there is still no remedy available for thjs dangerous defect and dealerships cannot and still will not attempt to repair due to this failure on your company. Furthermore, this dangerous recall has been in effect without a remedy for more than 30 business days. The following is a summary of the problem and the repair attempts: • description of defect: the charger in the vehicle did not fi rst work in August 2025. The dealership where we purchased the vehicle referenced above, was able to temporarily repair this issue. We were without the car for approximately one week. Ln mid-October 2025, we were alerted for a software recall regarding the vehicle which was handled at the same dealership. In late October 2025 we were alerted to another recall alert regarding the vehicle (NHTSA #25v74 j, Chrysler #68c). This recall had no remedy and sti ll does not have a remedy as of the date of this letter and at the time we were left not choice but to " fire sale" the vehicle back to the dealership. Please note due to no fix being available, any attempts to repair wer,e futile and the dealership would not take any appointments when we contacted them several times. Further, the recall advisory stated the following "a vehicle fi re can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of abundance of caution, fca us is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until a remedy is obtained. " clearly, we were not able to use our vehicle due to the recall and were ad.
I leased this new vehicle in July 2025. Had it for a month and it wouldn't start. Premier Jeep in hyannis, MA 02601 said it was the start/stop battery and replaced it. A month later the car experienced an system failure and the car put the parking brake on and put the car in park and shut it off while I was in traffic! this time the dealer service said it was the lift gate mechanism and the on/off/start button. These have been replaced. Each incident resulted in the vehicle spending a week in the shop. I asked for a loaner but none available both times. Now the car is back in the repair shop because when I get in to start it it turns itself off right away. No loaner car was offered. I have no car now again!.
This recalled vehicle cannot be driven safely. No remedy is available. I am paying for a lease. I cannot use and requesting federal assistance for a lease termination or replacement. .
The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v741000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Vehicle: 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe anniversary edition lease start: April 2025 mileage: ~5,000 mi this vehicle has now been subject to two major battery-related safety recalls within the first year of lease: a “stop propulsion” recall that rendered the vehicle inoperable until a module replacement was performed. The current recall 68c (battery fire risk) covering 2021-2026 wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles. According to Jeep and NHTSA, owners are advised to park outdoors and away from structures or other vehicles because the high-voltage battery could catch fire even when parked and turned off. There is no available remedy or timeline for a fix. This has created an ongoing safety risk to me and my family, along with substantial loss of use and financial burden under my lease. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the scope and timeliness of Jeep/stellantis’s corrective action and determine whether interim guidance or consumer relief is warranted for vehicles that cannot be safely used or stored.
The current recall with loss of propulsion occurred in my vehicle on 10/16/2025 at 5:10pm while I was on the highway during rush hour. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, this is so dangerous. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle in fear of it occurring again.
Driving on freeway and service 4wd light came on. Upon reaching destination, parking brake automatically engaged for unknown reason.
Rear climate control system fails to provide cooled air to the second and third rows during normal vehicle operation. Front vents produce cold air while rear vents blow warm to hot air despite temperature settings at minimum, high fan speed, and recirculation enabled. The condition has been present since vehicle delivery and has persisted despite three repair attempts by an authorized dealership. The problem has been reproducible under both driving and idle conditions. Independent measurements using a probe-based temperature instrument inserted into the vents confirm a significant difference between front and rear discharge temperatures. After approximately 25 minutes of driving in moderate weather (about 72°f ambient), front vents measured approximately 42–44°f while second and third row vents remained approximately 72–86°f. In warmer conditions, rear vent temperatures have exceeded 90°f. Adjusting the front climate control to a normal comfort setting causes rear temperatures to rise further even when rear controls remain set to maximum cooling. The vehicle is a three-row family SUV. The failure exposes rear passengers, including a toddler in a rear-facing car seat, to elevated temperatures during normal driving, particularly in hot and humid southern louisiana conditions. Young toddlers are more vulnerable to heat exposure and cannot easily regulate internal body temperatures themselves, increasing safety concerns. The defect substantially limits safe and practical use of rear seating areas and remains unresolved despite repeated service attempts. No warning indicators are provided to the driver that rear cooling is inadequate. The condition reduces the vehicle’s ability to safely transport passengers in rear seating positions during hot weather. The vehicle manufacturer, stellantis n. V. , has been formally notified of the condition and is aware of the issue.
While driving vehicle goes into limp mode I lose acceleration but rpms on dashboard jump into the red zone and various warning lights show up I coast off to the side and put vehicle in park and shut off engine. When I restart everything clears and vehicle is normal again. This happened 3 times so far and dealer had the car 12 days and cannot duplicate the problem saying no codes show up show up on the scanner.
This letter is to document a serious safety incident that occurred on [xxx], involving a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee summit. On that date, the subject driver, was driving a [xxx] child to a scheduled pediatric appointment. While stopped at a red light, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete electrical failure. The engine stalled and all electronics, including the dashboard display and infotainment system, went completely dark. The subject driver found herself trapped in the middle of a busy intersection in st. Petersburg, florida. Due to the nature of the failure, she was unable to shift the vehicle into neutral or move it to a safe location, as the vehicle’s electronic transmission control was also unresponsive. She was left stranded in this hazardous situation for approximately 45 minutes while awaiting the arrival of police and emergency responders. This incident created a terrifying and highly dangerous scenario—not only for subject driver but also placed the child in danger of heat exhaustion (heat index was over 100 degrees). As a result of this traumatic experience, subject driver has completely lost trust in the vehicle’s safety and refuses to transport the child in the vehicle. We submit this incident as additional evidence of the ongoing and unacceptable safety risks as-sociated with this vehicle. The manufacturer should take swift and decisive action in ad-dressing this matter. Summary service record of the subject vehicle as of July 23rd, 2025: new vehicle - consumer owned for less than 6 months, (4) trips to authorized dealership for service, over (30) days out of service at dealership, stalled in traffic at least once placing the a driver and child in harms way, (2) times the vehicle had to be towed to dealership all service issues have been related to an undetermined electrical failure of the vehicle according the the authorized dealership service repair shop. I was driving within a city and came to a red light. Since my car is a hybrid (2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, also I just purchased this lease in April 2025) the car will switch to the ev battery when I come to a halt and when I propel forward the car will either remain on the ev battery (if the battery has mile range) or it will switch to the engine. As the light turned green and I pushed the pedal to move forward, my car began to move forward using the ev battery but when the car attempted to switch to the engine, it tripped and my car would not move forward at all (this all occurred in the middle of traffic). I attempted to restart my car and my car would turn on but my engine would not start / my dash kept instructing to push the brake and hit the start button / also my dash displayed both engine and battery light / I was unable to shift my gears in any position. I attempted to restart my care multiple times over 40 minutes. I finally let my car sit completely turned off for 30-40 mins and attempted to restart one more time and it did start and I was able to drive it to a safe location. I contacted moped roadside assistance and I was given a 2-4 hour wait time for towing to the nearest dealership. In addition I was not within my hometown and was supposed to drive back to my hometown later that day. I ended up having a family member following me home. Thankfully I did not experience this issue on the drive home but I am nervous to drive the car, especially on the expressway.
To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep frustration and serious concerns regarding the repeated and dangerous failures I have experienced with the battery systems in three separate Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles – model years 2022, 2024, and now 2025 4xe. In each case, I encountered a complete battery failure within the first 3,000 miles of the car’s life. These failures have not only rendered the vehicles completely inoperable but have completely shut down all functionality while driving, leaving me stranded on the road an outright dangerous design flaw with zero warning or alert of malfunction. At first, I considered the possibility of coincidence or simple bad luck. Now, it is evident this is a systemic and known issue that stellantis/Jeep has failed to address. It is absolutely unacceptable that a brand-new Jeep product could exhibit such a fundamental reliability defect, and even more troubling that no proactive support or acknowledgment has been provided to affected consumers like myself. This is disgraceful, inexcusable, and beneath the standards expected of any automaker, let alone one that charges a premium for its products. This situation also raises serious questions about the strategic direction the company may have taken under their former ceo, carlos tavares, whose well-documented focus on near-term cost-cutting and margin improvements appears to be manifesting in subpar quality control and dangerous engineering compromises. I demand to know what stellantis is prepared to do in response to the severe design flaw and associated safety risks with the new battery and electrical systems in their Jeep products.
I purchased this vehicle 04/15/2025. Starting at less than 500 miles the blind spot indicator warning lights along with the abs braking system warning lights randomly come on while driving. To receive random warning light notices and sounds while driving is extremely startling and concerning. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership multiple times with no success of fixing the issue. They have been in touch with Chrysler’s engineers. The engineers have given instructions such as inspecting the electrical system, replacing the main module and software updates all of which have not corrected the problem. The vehicle is still at the dealership with no resolution. Apparently, these issues have been reported before not only for the Jeep grand wagoneer but other Chrysler vehicles as well. As a loyal Jeep customer, I purchased this vehicle because of the safety features advertised. However, it has become a nightmare and I do not feel safe driving in this vehicle at all. Please research these safety concerns.
Brand new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee less than 3 weeks old - I just got into an accident last night on the freeway my car began to decelerate and accelerator completely stopped working. I noticed an aebs alert and engine light on the dash but came close to no other cars for this to have come on. Came to a complete stop and I look down and the car is in park. I was unable to put the car back in drive on the freeway. Put on my hazards and called 911 immediately, knowing how dire the situations was, while trying to find a way to get moving, and watched as I was rear ended by a pickup going full speed.
On multiple occasions now, my shifter starts blinking at me and the dash tells me to shift into park and then shift into desired gear. This is quite annoying is baffling and dangerous. Also, on multiple occasions the dash lights up it goes crazy beeping like crazy like it wants me to stop and there’s nothing in front of me for me to need to stop. This could be potentially very dangerous. I see others have had issues like this as well so I think we really need to do something about this for somebody does get hurt cause it locks up it doesn’t let you go anywhere until you put it in park and put it in gear not safe.
I am unsure of what the complete issue is at this point. I have taken my car into two different dealerships multiple times and everybody keeps sending me back saying it’s running as it was designed. However, the things that’s experiencing it was not experiencing when I bought it, I would not have bought it and the list goes on. Has a random hesitation in the transmission. It revs way too high when shifting, it doesn’t downshift properly it doesn’t shift properly. There has been a groaning in the vehicle basically since day, one when downshifting it also howls when starting and sounds like a dieselthere is a very strange unstable feeling to the vehicle when traveling at pretty much any speed but when you get to the highway speeds, you feel very unsafe. It feels like you’re pulling a trailer, but you’re not as the best way I can describe it. This has been going on since about. I don’t know week five or six after buying the vehicle as I’ve stated I’ve taken it in multiple times. It wasn’t until I got the manufacturer involved that they’ve actually kept the vehicle and are apparently doing things… we’ll see. My reason for contacting is because I have driven a number of their loaner vehicles which were also Grand Cherokee and at least half of them I was experiencing the same thing as I was in my own that seems to me like an issue…. The loaner I am currently driving I’m going to have them pick up with a tow truck because I don’t feel safe driving. It has not even half the miles on it than mine does and it’s worse than mine… to me that presents a problem. There are also weird electrical issues. The key fob doesn’t always let me in the door. I have to do it manually. It’s not communicating with the car. The gearshift just all of a sudden locks up and dash reads to put it in park before I can put it into gear to proceed further. Sometimes the liftgate will not close. I have to do it manually and then it’ll catch the latch and pull down. I do feel there’s a safety is xxx.
Purchased vehicle at dealer with 0 miles, and shortly after I had a service hybrid battery, brake system malfunction, auto emergency braking service required. After taking to the dealer multiple times. They are unable to find anything.
