Jeep just died going down the road - idle is off - report from computer says misfire on cylinders and bad emissions. Also auto shot off doesn’t work and radio freezes up.
The contact owns a 2026 Jeep grand wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the vehicle unexpectedly stopped while driving in traffic. The contact stated that there was an audible beeping sound after the brake failure. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced several electrical failures. The contact stated that the horn failed to operate, causing the contact to be forced off the road. The contact stated that there were electrical issues with the headlights and instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the electrical failures were confirmed, and several parts were replaced; however, the failures persisted. The vehicle was scheduled to be diagnosed by the dealer about the brake failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,400.
New 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee (2. 0l turbo i4) has open, unrepaired safety recall 26v-559 (fca 54d): the tire pressure monitoring system may not detect low tire pressure or illuminate the warning telltale; remedy is an rfh module reprogram. The vehicle also has an open manufacturer campaign for 2. 0l engine spark plug replacement and additional software flash campaigns. I scheduled service for these recalls at an authorized fca/stellantis dealer (larry h. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram, boise, id). I dropped the vehicle off on a Wednesday at 7:00 am; the dealer kept it nearly 4 full days and returned it Saturday evening with zero recall work performed, citing shop scheduling delays. The service advisor told me to call/email the following Tuesday to reschedule; those calls and emails were not returned. Voicemails and emails to the dealership's service manager and general manager have also gone unanswered. As a result, I am driving a new vehicle with an incomplete safety recall and no dealer remedy scheduled. No crash, fire, or injury has occurred. Problem has not been inspected by the manufacturer. I have escalated to the manufacturer and am attempting to book the recall at an alternate dealer. I am reporting that the manufacturer's dealer network has failed to remedy this safety recall in a timely manner.
2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited - once I shut down engine, when I opened the door to exit, it started beeping at me. After a few minutes looking around to make sure I hadn't left a door open or something, I thought maybe it hadn't registered that it was in park, and shut off. I pushed the "start" button, and the dash had a message "ignition on". When I tried to put it in reverse, it moved on it's own back into park, and again displayed "ignition on". I tried putting it in drive, and the "d" just flashed at me and finally moved back to "p". I'm not sure exactly when this was displayed, but there was a message at one point that said something about the "start/stop" function, but it wasn't visible long enough for me to catch what it said. I called my son who came over and we troubleshooted (I was afraid to remove my foot from the brake due to other horror stories I've heard about, so I sat there for several minutes with my foot on the brake waiting for my son to hopefully know what to do). Once he was there, he asked me to slowly remove my foot from the brake. When I did, he could feel the Jeep trying to move forward. After some other testing/troubleshooting, he asked me to lock the door and see what happened. I did so, waiting a few minutes and turned it back on. This time it worked as expected and started. I'm driving this car all the way to texas next week, and I'm terrified (especially now that I see another recall - that's 3 since I bought the car 60 days ago) that something horrible is going to happen! I do not feel safe in this car, and I just spent alot of money on it!.
I have purchased brand new a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee the engine is the new 4 cylinder hurricane engine with turbo I have had multiple incidents of flat to dull pick up when in motion between the speeds of 15-30 mph resulting in multiple near misses for serious accidents. I submitted a ticket with Jeep, had the vehicle reviewed by my dealer only to be told this is within normal limits two days ago my vehicle went into full rattle mode and shut down on me in an intersection causing another near miss. My Jeep is in the shop again as of this writing I also have had multiple shutdowns of my electronic screens when the vehicle is under load.

Additionally, the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop, the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and responded as intended upon shifting into drive(d). No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a loss of battery communication with the computer due to a dead battery. The battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under an unknown recall. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for a third time, but no further diagnostic information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact not to trade the vehicle due to the safety risk. The service manager informed the contact that another repair attempt was required before the vehicle could be considered under the lemon law. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 10.
Driving down the road at any speed, the Jeep will stop on a dime like you applied the full brake and shut off. I this has occurred 4 different time almost causing 2 bad accidents, one involving an unloaded log truck on hwy 130 in nc and the other one on hwy 544 in SC. The other two were while trying to accelerate out onto the rd. All this occurs without any warning. The engine will race quickly up to 35mph making rpm go to 7, the dash will go completely red when pulling off at red lights. I refuse to drive it thru a small town where people cross at, Jeep has been reported back to dealerships for all the same reoccurring problems since 130 miles. . Spark plugs replaced 2, elec parts been replaced , nothing is fixing the problem. Mb Jeep is where I purchased the Jeep. Will not hold a speed, it will control speed itself. I took it back Saturday to dealership, bc I refuse to get killed or kill anyone else with all these problems. I was also told that my Jeep of the 26 model engine change out was no the only one. All of them are coming back in with major problems.
