Dashboard Failed problems of the 2000 Jeep Laredo

Gauges short out - no speedometer - no gas gauges, oil pressure, temp, etc - windows will not role down. - this can happen at any time - kind of scary - it lights up like a christmas tree. . My dealer has had the car 7 of the last 10 weeks - trying to fix it. I contacted je/Chrysler - they said it is not their problem. Even though on the internet I found at least a 100 people with the same problem - in 2002 Jeep recalled all of its cars for this exact problem.
