One problem related to electrical failure has been reported for the 2000 Jeep Laredo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Electrical system failure. Windows begin falling down simultaneously, then the vehicle begins shutting off for no apparent reason, then. . . Your gauges on your dash (speedometer, gas gauge, battery gauge, etc) stop working. Making you unable to tell your speed. Then your vehicle will turn over but not stay crunk. I have spoken with alot of people with Jeep grand cherokee's and it has happened to all of them. All Jeeps between the year models of 2000 through 2002.
