After safety recall n46 &r06 Jeep didn't inspect the tank and there's gas leak, as it on the video https://youtu. Be/u-67o4tnsjw . When they give me back my vehicle I had a lot of electrical issues like windows doesn't work and vehicle stopped on the road. This is very dangerous and they don't care. Vehicle is stationery because I'm afraid to fire like more than 50 people in my Jeep Liberty.
I have attempted to submit my 2003 Jeep Liberty for recall repairs relating to recall n46 and r06 beginning more than a year ago to my two nearest Jeep dealerships; tate Jeep in frederick and century Jeep in mt. Airy, maryland. When I inquire that I have received notices by mail instructing for recall repairs I am being ignored for service. Century Jeep placed me on a call-back list, but I was never contacted. When I called after 4-5 months I was told I am still on the waiting list. A year has gone by with no further contact. When I inquired of tate Jeep about recall repairs they will not respond back to me. I fought with century Jeep for about a year to have my airbag recall addressed. Frankly, I am tired of begging and pleading with my local Jeep dealerships to have recall work performed. I have been afraid every day I drive my Liberty of having the air bag explode in my face or my gas tank exploding from a rear end collision. Can you help prompt my dealerships to address these outstanding recalls. I continue to receive recall notices on a periodic basis informing me that my recalls have not been repaired, but the dealerships refuse to do anything. Century Jeep tells me that they do not have the recall repair parts in stock. They tell me that they only get a couple each month from Chrysler. How much longer do I have to drive this death trap? I appreciate any help you can provide me. Thank you, mark fink frederick, MD.
When getting gas, the overflow did not register and a bunch of gas spilled out everywhere. About a week ago, my check engine light came on and the error code listed the evap leak which includes gas fumes leaking out. The error code also says it could be an issue with the gas tank neck not functioning properly. This proves the gas tank neck is not functioning properly. This gas overspill every where is a nasty safety hazard! a warranty extension was released on certain wrangler models for this same issue. Chrysler needs to fix this problem ASAP!.
Received Jeep recall n46/NHTSA 13v-252 for fuel tank issues on this vehicle on 7 may14. When I contacted the dealer, I was told Chrysler had not released the parts to make the repair. I think a month is outside the reasonable time limit to correct this problem.
The problem of the vehicle is : the fuel tank on the vehicle has a small chance of experiencing a fuel leak during certain type of rear end collisions. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in underbody fire. Chrysler sent safety recall to me in January 2014 and they said they intends to inspect my vehicle and install an original equipment manufacture trailer hitch where appropriate at no cost and I been waiting till mid may 2014 and finally made a call to Chrysler group because I never hear anything back from them since the 1st recall notice. And I just found out that they didn't make a part yet. I don't know how long they want me to wait ? I don't think they really concern about customer safety.
It has been almost a year since a recall was issued due to the fuel tank having a chance of experiencing a fuel leak during a rear end collision. Chryler sent a recall letter stating that a trailer hitch would be installed to better manage crash forces in impacts. They said the parts required were currently not available. I have had no further information from them. Today I call a local Jeep dealer and requested the cost of a trailer hitch and was given a price. When I told them my Jeep was part of the recall and there should be no cost I was told that the recall trailer hitch is different and Chrysler has not released them. I think they are just stalling - a trailer hitch is a trailer hitch, I am concerned for my safety and believe that they should be required to make the fix now.
They just deteriorated apart ;almost lost gas tank ; this could have been a major problem my Jeep is not a root box is taken care of this should not have happened.
I received a recall notice for the airbag system occupant restraint control module m35/NHTSA 12v-527. I immediately called the dealership and got my name on the list, they said I was 3rd in line. It has been months now and no word on when they will get the parts. In the mean time there has been another recall regarding the gas tank. Really don't want to drive the vehicle but have no choice. Please try to get any answer to ease my mind.
**urgent** I am requesting that the recall of Jeeps due to gas-tank fires be accelerated. I became aware of the gas-tank fires involving Jeeps on 6/17/2012. My only mode of transportation is a 2003 Jeep Liberty and I am fearful of driving the vehicle now. If someone rear ends me, the Jeep may burst into flames. I am filing this complaint against Jeep/Chrysler for allowing myself and a million other drivers to continue driving a vehicle with a dangerous condition when they have known of the issue for the last two (2) years!! I have not personally had an incident but I would like the problem corrected before I am added to the fatality statistics. A recall needs to be done immediately with either correction to the vehicle or vehicle replacement. Jeep/Chrysler owe a responsibility to its consumers to report unsafe/dangerous conditions. Thank you.
The 2003 Jeep Liberty was built with a danger to fuel tank. It is 6-14-2014 and they still have not fixed this. I have three grand kids that ride with me. When will they fix this? I'm told they are working on it. What do I do if my grand children are hurt from this?.
