Abs light keeps going off even when brakes and rotors has been replaced . Brakes will skip or make a shaking vibration on the pedal when press and makes it hard to stop or impossible while in motion rather driving in the city or on the highway.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that an independent mechanic diagnosed that the undercarriage had rusted extensively. The abs sensor lights remained on because the undercarriage was sagging toward the tires setting off the sensors . The mechanic stated that when he touched the undercarriage rust fell off in his hands. The mechanic refused the fix the vehicle and referred the contact back to the manufacturer. The manufacturer stated that there was an open recall on the issue in 2012 that then shut down. The manufacturer did not confirm any recalls when given the VIN by the contact. The contact is the original owner of the vehicle and VIN tool showed no recalls at this time. The manufacturer referred the contact to call NHTSA to file a complaint. The contact had not been contacted at this time. The failure mileage was 94,000. Tf.
Esp bas abs lights keeping coming on and pulling to one side occasionally for unknown reason while lights are on. Numerous reports of the same problem on the internet from other 2006 Jeep Liberty owners.
The esp bas, traction control, and abs lights come one randomly. . . Could be driving, in park, going 20 mph. . . Has been going on now since April. . . Dealership says they cant do anything unless the lights are on/active. . . This morning my brakes tried to give out on me and it really scared me. . . I am a mother and need to trust that I paid for a reliable vehicle. . . After reading about 30 different forums I am not the only one that is having this problem. . . This needs to get fixed immediately please.
In response to all the complaints of abs light and brakes feeling like they won't work. . . . . . I had this problem and was at the dealership a lot over the last 2 years. It turned out to be a burnt wire!!! I have not had any problems in the last 3 months(which is a long time for this car)!!!!!!!!!!. Please tell your mechanic to check the brake sensor (abs sensor) wires!!.
