Esp problem, I been working on the breaks, master cilinder, calipers, brake control, sensors and I don't have a clue what to do.
Esp/bas malfunction on my 2006 Jeep Liberty. When I apply the brakes the vehicle does not want to break and has caused me to loose control of the vehicle. The vehicle will shake and make a grinding sound. I took it to the dealership and they said it was the rear end sensor and charged me $289. 80 for repairs. They also said they have no idea what is causing the grinding sound and my brakes are fine. After looking this up online, it appears that this a very common complaint and a serious safety issue.

The vehicle identification number was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified, and he is waiting for a response. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 30,000.
