I filled up at 2 different gas stations about 300 miles apart and the same problem occurred. I set the automatic stop and the pump automatically shuts off. I go to remove the handle about 2-3 seconds later and gas comes spewing out all over the side of the Jeep and onto the ground. There seems to be a reoccurring problem with thousands of Liberty owners. Many people I have talked to tell me that there is no permanent fix for this and I have to live with it. I have owned about 10 different vehicles in my time and not a single one of them ever had this problem. I will not stand for the "there is no permanent fix" bs anymore. This is a design flaw by Chrysler inc and needs to be addressed as the owners are at risk of injury and the gas stations are at risk of fire and the general public are at risk as well. Something needs to be done by Chrysler, if not I will report them to the better business bureau.
